WideNine
Looks like Jets scumbag Henry Anderson was fined $10,527 by the league. Does a fine like that for a guy making millions actually curb the behavior? Should be exponential then forfeiting games for repeat cheapshot artists. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/fines-suspensions/ Edited September 14, 2019 by WideNine
Steptide
If they started suspending players for these hits, instead of just fining them, these hits would stop pretty quick. I know sometimes they just fall into the qb and players can't help it, but in this instance (and others) a suspension would speak alot louder than a small fine Edited September 14, 2019 by Steptide

There was no "benefit of doubt" about it. But...at least it was put in front of the league that the refs missed it and agreed that it was a foul and merited a fine. So that's better than nothing.

Just saw this fine update at the end of the other Anderson cheapshot thread... Moderators feel free to merge delete - its all good.
The Wiz
The question being are they fining him for the late hit that was called or the late hit to the legs that was missed? Edited September 14, 2019 by The Wiz
MJS
He is a scumbag. His hit on Hauschka itself cements him in scumbag territory.
Chandler#81
Pittance schmittance, they busted him! That’s what’s important. It reinforces Gregggg’s methodology, sends a message to all teams about these current Jets and puts this loser on League notice. Thankfully, Josh wasn’t injured. It exposed the jests as the bush League team EVERYONE believes they are.

eball
Fines are stupid in the NFL. Make it really hurt; suspend them a game, or a half, or whatever. Keep them off the field (and thus lose pay) because of their actions.

Based on the Upstate New York article, the fine is for the chest bump, not the low hit to the knee.

StHustle
Looking at the fines I noticed Tyrel Dodson was fined $174k. Is this in ADDITION to the weekly checks he will miss? If so he wont even touch 6 figures this year after taxes. Hope he learned his lesson. If you can't handle your drinks, just stay sober.
Buffalo Barbarian
Went beyond a cheap shot as he went way out of his way to hit Allen in the knees well after he threw the ball. 2 minutes ago, Freddie's Dead said: Based on the Upstate New York article, the fine is for the chest bump, not the low hit to the knee. BringBackFergy
Two fines in his career and he’s a scumbag? Wow. Maybe it’s because those two fines concern Bills players? I’ll have to research more to see who holds the most fines and is still playing. If any of you know, please advise. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-jets/henry-anderson-16819/fines/

The fact is, ANY amount of fine would have been a percentage of his game check, thereby meeting your criteria. I think your issue is, you wanted the percentage to be HIGHER than the percentage he was actually fined. What's the actual percentage that you think is proper? So essentially Anderson would be out of pocket $5,263, if he donates. Love that the money goes to a charity but cutting the amount in half isn’t going to hurt a player. hemma
Allen just got back and played ball. Brady would have hammed it up for 5 minutes like a soccer player. Probably would have gotten a call + the max possible fine. Allen needs some acting lessons.

Livinginthepast
Once again the jokers at league office don't connect the dots from a repeat offender Anderson to a repeat offender coach Williams to the incident itself and come up with a fine that would be parking ticket for the average person. Sheer brilliance once again!
