Yep. I have commented on this with Josh before during the offseason. All QBs to an extent need rhythm but Josh seems to need it more than most. Once he is in in rhythm his timing improves and his accuracy is really solid. Most of the WTF inaccurate throws Josh Allen has had as a pro are when he is out of rhythm early in games and in drives. That is why for me he is not a QB you can go run, run, pass with and expect sustainable success.

Completely agree.  Josh looks like he could be a terror with shotgun 4 wide, 1 RB and if nothings there he can obviously pick up chunk yardage running.

Not a QB I want to see in a run run pass offense from under Center.

He needs that rhythm and space.

Come on man.  The one drive they took the brakes off the offense and Allen takes them down the field for a TD.  How can you judge Allen's performance when before that last drive he had only attempted FOUR passes and did not throw a single 1st down pass?

It was his first post.  Ignore him.  Allen does need to stop playing hero ball though.

Pre season is the time to open up the offence especially the passing game with Allen.  He needs all the confidence he can get.

Dissapointed with the play calling in the first half

It’s a good time to work on the things you need to work on, be that passing or running the ball.

Let Allen throw 2 quick shovel passes. As we all know, comp % is the only indicator of a good QB.

He might complete one of them.

Barkley in. Complete passes coming.

Not trying to be a troll. To me the BS roughing was the perfect example of a lack of progress. That decision would be ripped in a JV HS game. Which is sometimes the style that JA plays in. Impressive at time? Sure. Sustainable in the NFL? No shot.

Just for anybody who cares, while people are killing Josh Allen on here, Cleveland hero Baker Mayfield was 10-26 72 yards and a pic

QB Pornstache Curse.

Terrible terrible block in the back on the punt return by Denzel Rice

I agree its important but I think the passing game and Allen's confidence should have been the #1 priority

Nah. This happens in real life, too. It's a football thing.

We’ve been running at a comical clip tonight but yes, in the regular season, you can’t afford to take a sack so the WR routes are more limited.

Horrible game for Josh Allen and the starting offense.

it's almost like they weren't playing their offensive scheme at all and running the ball a whole lot. Strange that they said they were going to do that then actually did it. I don't understand why they wouldn't say that they were going to run a lot then go and so the opposite. Should have run their full blown gameplan for the Jets.

I’d have liked to have seem more, but I don’t even think it was the lousy field position....I think they wanted to evaluate what they had in the run game. I think that was the focus tonight. I did love that last drive, though!

I'm actually glad that he regressed for that one meaningless play in a meaningless game.  First off Allen will be very hard on himself and in the film room Barkley, Dabold & the QB coach will have something to say to Allen.  Talk about giving the guy a timely reminder of WHAT NOT TO DO under any circumstances.
