Prediction: Nathan Peterman Bills Starting QB Wk. 1 vs. Ravens

Recommended Posts

Nathan Peterman will win the starting QB position barring injury. He'll be much improved from last season.

Excited about Josh Allen as the starting QB, but Peterman is the guy people aren't talking about right now who will have everyone talking by the end of training camp.

He's worked on his mechanics, is said to have added velocity to his throws, has a lot to prove and is no stranger to struggling early in his career and picking himself up.

A little talked about fact concerning Peterman is that he's right up there with Allen as Bills QB's who've scored high on the Wonderlic test for those who equate the test to mental sharpness.

I still hold to the belief that Peterman was at the very least a third round prospect in his draft class.

Peterman will be the guy.

So this is how I have it panning out...

1. Peterman

2. McCarron

3. Allen

With Allen at three for his protection as he starts out his young career.

There needs to be some type of Breathalyzer device implemented before posting threads on the message board.

Peterman is fighting for a roster spot. I was okay with him starting since the offense was wet dog **** with Tyrod in there. But, I've seen enough of Peterman. We have McCarron and Allen who both are relatively young.

LOL well I completely disagree with your assessment.  IMO McCarron is the starter, Allen will be number two and Peterman will be three if they decide to keep three QB's.  I base that on nothing but my own gut feeling.   It will be fun to see how things shake out.

I think Peterman has a better chance of being the starter than people think, but I definitely wouldn't call him the favorite. If I was assigning percentages I'd say Allen is 50% likely, McCarron 35%, and Peterman 15%. I'd like to see where his arm strength is now that he's had a full year to work on it.

As you have it I would switch McCarron and Allen's % myself. But Peterman is pretty clearly third in line as of right now.

OP I will lay you 5-1 on Peterman vs the field named week 1 starter.

It'll be tough for Nate to beat AJ for the starting job unless AJ gets hurt IMO, but I do think Nate will be a starter in the league at some point in his career, not likely in Buffalo though.  Obviously the SD game last year will be hard to overcome in the minds of many including the coaches.  He'll have to have some period of sustained improvement before people will have confidence in him and if you don't play it's hard to demonstrate that, but I think he'll get his chance somewhere at some point.

Josh waiting a year is not a bad thing.

Prediction: Peterman doesn’t make the final 53.

I think the Bills will keep 3 QB's and he'll certainly be one of them.  He's cheap and I don't see a more veteran QB that'll be looking for work in Buffalo after cut down day.

LAMP. There is nothing to base this on.

Fun police alert!

You must work for the L.A.M.PD...

Is this what you post in every thread that isn't one of the hundreds that you create in a day?

Not out of the question, any of the 3 could easily start that game.

I seriously doubt Nathan Peterman starting would shock anyone here but it all depends on preseason performances.

Why do people believe in Peterman? It’s an honest question? He was historically bad and was a 5th round pick for a reason. People hated Fitz, Orton, and Tyrod who were all decent and swear by Peterman. It is so strange. We are the only fan base in the world that prefers scrubs to decent. That is unique to Bills fans.

Good one.   The point remains that there is literally nothing to based this thread on given what Peterman has shown in actual game play. Dream on with McCarron or Allen the most likely to start.  LAMP!

It would me.  What wouldn't shock me is him finding himself on the PS come September.

Lay off the guy.

How many threads do you keep alive for weeks where you are the only one posting?   Some would call that not knowing when to let a subject die.  A bit of a LAMP no?

There is nothing seriously wrong with this topic.

Fantasia syndrome.  If he had any real future in Buffalo as anything other than a potential backup, Allen wouldn't be around.

It would shock me and I'd look to see how Rex was wearing a McD suit.

Thank god someone else sees it. It's a backwards way of thinking, and continues to happen. Must be genetic and continues to hop from generation to generation.
