His comment about everyone from the Bills who goes to the Pats goes to either Super Bowls or Pro Bowls. Super Bowls? No **** Sherlock. Pro Bowls? ? Nope. Try again. Gilmore actually went to the Pro Bowl with the Bills but was not selected with the Pats. No former Bills were selected to the Pro Bowl.

As an aside, Zach Brown also went to the Pro bowl with the Bills, but then was not selected with the Redskins. None of the other guys he mentioned who had good seasons (all WRs, nice throwing TT under the bus along the way) who made the playoffs (boohoo oh wait you did too) went to the pro Bowl either.

Yup, the way he is depicting the result of these guys leaving is as if they became superstars once they left Buffalo.

Honestly, good luck to him. I cannot wait to see him try to cover shady out of the backfield.

The author tried like Gumby to make it look like Gillislee did anything, which was amusing.

With that QB assessment skill, I think we should give Preston a look at Assistant GM.

It also stated the the Bills are trying to keep him, which I’m not sure is accurate. Plus his agent is his mom so

I know for a fact that they had tentative discussions over the summer, as I assume is cursory for most front offices and representatives of soon-to-be free agents.

If what they were asking for then still stands as the demand now, I do not see Preston staying in Buffalo.

I know the two sides have talked ... just not sure the “the Bills are trying to keep him” as much as they are learning what he wants and comparing the value they have placed on him and others in the market

Must of been told to go out and get other offers by the Bills.

Good at chasing behind receivers by two yards and making tackles 5 years past the line. Good luck Preston.

You've seen that too huh!

FWIW. He was one of the lowest rated players  at his position by PFF. To the eye, he looks like a poor mans David Harris. Not real fast, but heady, makes tackles, weak in coverage against quick backs and receivers. I don't know what he wants, but its not a huge loss to let him go  because he's not that great.

I would guess that the Bills would like someone more athletic than Brown.  If true, I would think they would not want to commit to him long term and since this is his chance for a big payday, I believe it will be somewhere else.  I could see the Bills offering a 2 yr deal as they try to fill other holes.  I'm sure Brown is looking for more.

I hope he doesn't go to NE. I know it's probably just paranoia but I swear they just want to pick his little MLB brain. Wasn't he making the defenses calls on the field? Man I hate New England... Guess you can't blame the guy for trying to get paid. GL Brown... Unless it's with NE.

Did he forget he also was on a team that made it to the playoffs?

"A lot of guys left the last year, and it seemed like everybody who left us was going to the playoffs — (Rams wide receivers) Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods, (49ers receiver) Marquise Goodwin. Everybody who left had a good season. It’s definitely something you look at like, wow, those guys are having success. But the Patriots, they definitely seem to get the best out of the Buffalo Bills.”

He was too busy getting trucked by Bortles

!@#$ him! This isn’t sour grapes either. I have never been a Preston Brown fan, I think he’s a gutless, balless bastard who always seems to stand around the pile or comes in when the play is just about over, trying to pad his stats. I hope he does go to the Patriots, maybe then we could score more. Good bye jerk-off, go blow Gilmore while you’re at it.

He’s a free agent talking his name up. I can’t hate him for that. But the Gronk cheap shot without retribution, and no hard feelings towards a team that have beat you regularly really speaks to his sense of commradery.

I also can’t blame him for trying to get paid but the Pats ballwashing was not only over the top but he basically admitted that he felt like they couldn’t compete with them. This is the type of competitive fire I want from Bills players ... he doesn’t have it

He probably knows the Bills really don't have much interest in resigning him.  Kinda the vibe I've been getting.

Also, I don't think he said anything wrong.

This.  Probably a similar situation to EJ Gaines, i.e. looking for way more money than he's worth.

I don't think he is very heady either, had trouble making calls for Rex, and certainly seen him struggling with calls and especially adjustments last season as well.

Just listened to the SiriusXM NFL Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan discuss the Pat's situation. They don't have much money to play with ($10 million under cap...currently). They don't have the money to sign someone like Preston, who thinks he probably deserves a windfall. Pats still have to sign some of their own and have to make cuts to free up some cash. Sorry Preston, go bark up another tree.

Not so fast.

I'll @#$%ing drive him to Foxborough. Preston don't scare me any.

I don’t think he’s a scrub, but i do think he is looking to get a big payday. I don’t think the Pats will be the team to pony up for him.

And neither should we.

i like preston brown. seems like a good guy. good player. not the most gifted athlete, but seems to be a high effort guy. i would like to see him stay a buffalo bill, but if somebody wants to pay him a boat load of cash, i will understand him leaving. these careers are short, make what you can, and have fun. there are plenty of jackholes out there, i just don't think he is one of them.

Awww Crissakes......let's re-sign him.

Brown makes a lot of sense for them. He’s a pretty good (and smart) player. Preston Brown might be the most underrated player on the Bills.

there is no question he is the most underrated. half the fans dislike him.
The Rex Factor reverberates still

I heavily disagree. While he's a leader, good locker room guy and motivated, his skills really don't match the modern NFL. Very good versus the run, He's too easy to exploit in the pass game, teams pass more than they run so.

I'd like to keep him for cheap but other than that, good riddance.

That article severely overrated him.

I am not sure he is a good leader in the locker room or Team leader. Lets go back to the Rex era when his was lost and dismissive after season one under Ryan.
Lost soul. another one.
time to move on Preston.
have you ever even tackled Shady in practice??

Yep. PB said he was just mad because he unfollowed him.

That's not the player.
