  1. Why are we stuck on stats? Once again... the original statement was he is who a lot of us thought he was. You can quote 5.1 a carry until you are blue in the face. He is... who he is. Hes not a world beater. There is a reason the bills used a 3rd rd pick this year on an identical back. I did not omit ANY stats. I just used them to show how you bloat a 5.1 a carry average. As a matter of fact, i brought up stats because the original person i was speaking with was saying that Singletary was averaging 5.1 with more carries a game. So I pull the disparity in games where Singletary ran more than 10 time versus where he ran less. I didnt just manufacture stats to crusade. As a matter of fact stats were not mentioned in the original statement. If you like him thats fine. He's not the worst. But he is no Barry Sanders. Singletary is a Rb2 who is going to average 4.1 - 4.5 a year. And won't be a bell cow. We can revisit in a few years
  2. We will discuss after the season or whatever requisites are needed to show that he is in fact not a true number 1 back. My original statement is this is the guy we should have known him to be. And if you want to dismiss the fact he had 2 game 10 carries averaging over 13 yards during that stretch thats fine. But if you are expecting him to be that guy. You may be waiting a while. Long before I introduced stats or anything, the original statement is. He settled into who he really is. If you notice I used ALL stats. And all stats prove he is about the same as he was last year In production.
  3. My point is he wasn't really a 5.1 ypc back last year either. He did his best work in big chunk plays he wasn't getting you a consistent 5.1 a carry. The same way he's not getting you a consistent 4.1 this year. Give him a few big chunk plays and he will be right up there at the same average. We can massage the numbers as you have definitely done research but the point is at this point he's on pace for 150 less yards in 12 games with less carries than he had last season. But he more than makes up for the void in the receiving game. Thats why I say he's par for the course. As a feature. Thats bound to happen. But I THINK you can agree, we need more back there
  4. Hell of a thought Kudos Lack of Yeldon is criminal. He plays his best game and you sit him. I swore they were gonna move him at the deadline.
  5. I honestly haven't seen the all 22 as my mind is trained to think they will randomly plant the last 34 secs of the game somewhere in the middle lol. But I can say that when I usually watch it, there usually, not always, but usually, are creases that open and close fast. I notice Winters is a putz but can pull and the left side with Ford and Dawkins is usually the go to. If you promise they won't manipulate were they put that ending ill try it again
  6. If you look at 2019 he only averaged 5 yds a carry 2 times when carrying the ball more than 10 times and then you have to factor in the final 2 games where he averaged 9.5 on 4 carries against the giants and 17.5 on 6 carries on the jets. In the remaining 8 games he went for about an average of 4.3 per carry.
  7. Statistically Singletary is a better receiver than last year and about on par with last year rushing. The difference is we don't have Gore to compare him to. And he goes north and south unlike McCoy. He is what we should have known he was. He just isn't an RB1. And that's fine, but you can't continue to use him like he is. We must do better. Its not all the line at all.
  8. Thank you... got too cute! You can find a scrap heap back but you shouldn't depend on it
  9. Mango if you knew my friends, lol. They have all but disallowed me from talking about the gross negligence there. I feel like I am just crusading. To draft the same guy 2 years in a row is agregious. I do like moss but he needs a complimentary piece.
  10. I honestly don't think they have a ton of confidence to get outside with these backs. I remember watching the all 22 of the Chiefs game and it just seemd like, especially Singletary, lacked the burst to hit creases outside the tackle. Moss was still very green but I remember a few down blocks by Diggs and maybe Kroft? But Singletary seemed to cut inside as opposed to stretching it wide. Will be interesting to see if they don't add speed to that grouping.
  11. Morse to me has been weak at the point but very good in the pull game. Feliciano has been playing very nicely but I want him at either guard as you said. Its just a better fit.
  12. Are you the guy Nate Geary hung up on twice last night?
  13. No. Just used him in an advantageous role today. He's good when rushing evidently. Still cant cover. Looked like Edmunds and Klein had a nice confidence booster today. Loved it They played great. Dont beat yourself up though. Still 7 more to go. We can look back in week 17
  14. I absolutely factor that into not saying he's THE worst players on defense... hes just ONE OF the worst. I think Dane or Cam take tarons spot in the slot sooner than later
  15. This post caught my eye. After watching the all 22 of the KC game it seems that he gets space on the left side. i like the pull-ability of the right side with morse and Winters but it seems as though those designs stretch too far out and Singletary doesn't seem to have the speed to get to the edge. I dont know if Williams and Winters create the holes of the left side. Maybe this will change when Feliciano gets back
  16. It got better because they played the Jets Next question
  17. That left side was blocking pretty well for Singletary but like you said. The burst wasn't there and the holes closed for him
  18. Thats their MO. Sooooo they better. After the Harrison Phillips and Trent Murphy for cox and Zimmer situation. They were giving guys a look so they can against the Jets
  19. Cam is fine... if he didn't have a club. After that it really gets dicey
  20. I actually told my friend when we got that 3rd down stop it was backups. I found that interesting. I really feel it sucks that against the top team in the league we decide to "try some guys out because they looked good in practice" why does McDermott have a propensity to tinker during the regular season. He did it with his O line a few years ago. Shouldn't that "best 5" be cemented in by week 6?
  21. AJ is a non factor. Ed needs a space eater next to him. Edmunds isn't as good as people think. He isn't a true MLB and he will be paid soon. Is he worth it? Shoulder or no shoulder. He's not effective when the o line gets to the second level. Milano is the better of the 2 lbs for sure
  22. Try Cam Lewis in the slot. At 5'8 its probably his best shot in this league
  23. Is is really play calling or is it personnel Jefferson has been our best d lineman in my estimation
