The game was over anyway if Bass made that FG. No way would the defense stop Patty from getting points the very next drive. There should’ve been a “TD or bust” mentality on that last one. Bleed the clock and go for the 4 point lead.

We would have watched Mahomes do his master class on hurry up dink and dunk and the Bills chasing him and missing him only for him to get a first down. Von Miller tackling air and then the inevitable Butker perfect Fg right down the middle with no time on the clock.

I an a way I am kind of glad we lost this game because we would have gotten annihilated by the Ravens next week.

So I would rather have the the Chiefs get destroyed by them in the AFCCG.

I just absolutely despise Mahomes and KC more.  So let Mahomes cry his ass off after they get mauled next week in Baltimore.

We were too banged up this year to compete for a SB, and to believe anything other that that is not being realistic.

We were never going to beat the Ravens with our personnel on this team that played in this game tonight, or any variations of it next week.

Not sure how any Bills can can be happy the Bills lost. Reading this just really pis$ed me off.

I don't know how the Bills vs Baltimore game would have played out. I think the Bills would have done relatively well vs them.

I think if Douglas and Benford are healthy we probably win this game. Douglas was obviously hobbled out there, he had no speed. Dane Jackson got burned over and over. He also couldn't make a tackle in run support to save his life.

Worst game I've seen from our defense this year.

Almost immediately, my hopes that the backups could fill in okay were dashed.  It definitely hurt that we were so banged up.

I actually thought McDermott did a good job today. Went for it multiple times on 4th.  Fake punt was at least playing  aggressively.  Bass was timing time bomb for us.  Injuries hurt us.  Maybe next year.  Been saying that for about 50 years.

Didn't have my phone all night. Don't need to see the same script another time. Mcdermott should be fired tomm

Every time that Mahomes has beaten Allen, Allen has been just as good, and probably better than Mahomes during the game. I think Mahomes made one tough throw all night. Mcdermott has never made it hard for him. Meanwhile Allen does Madden ***** all game long

I'm in Canada... it's-10

I went for a walk in shorts and a light hoodie to cool off.

I'm just heartbroken. We desperately need a WR2 to take the coverage away from Diggs. There is no reason why he should have only has 21 yards receiving tonight.

I was the biggest Bass fan but he isn't clutch. You have one job. You need to be able to step up.

I'm so proud of the defense for hanging in there like we did.

It will be great to get everyone back healthy next year.

We also need to move on from Miller after next season. He was invisible all year and isn't worth the contract.

DL is great and OL showed some promise.

We need a WR2 and then LB and DB help via free agency and draft

Imo

They were able to take advantage of our M.A.S.H. unit defense.  The boys may not have gotten it done this year but 27 other teams went home first.  I'm proud of them for going on a memorable tear... like the rest of you, sick of losing to the Chefs.

Kansas City has come out on top the first three times in the playoffs, but that is going to change.  Allen is just too good, and along with Kincaid, Cook, and Shakir, we've got a great young core.  Waiting to see what Beane comes up with this offseason to fix our defense and kicking game.  Need to hit a homerun at wideout as well.

We should've gotten rid of Bass weeks ago. We should've tried harder to bring in a real #2 receiver. I'm completely gutted. I really thought we were going to pull it off.

I just knew that son of a **** was gonna miss that kick… He’s been garbage all season

In terms of why we loss why would Josh even come up?  As usual the team road on his shoulders.  Our defense was high school level tonight.  It was beyond pitiful.  Big drops by receivers who often could not get open.  Special teams playing hurt....?  Why?  We have a coach who we should be thankful got us to contender status but who will never win a super bowl.  Another year with him is a total waste.

I didn't say he lost us the game. read again. I said he played a great game But he shouldn't have thrown the pass to the end zone.

Every-time the Bills lose the board is full of the mentally ill calling for the firing of all the coaches and staff. The coaches didn't drop a bomb that hit them in the hands, Diggs did, The coaches didn't drop a sure touchdown, Cook did. The coaches didn't cripple Milano or Tre.  The coaches didn't beat up the 5 million people we have that didn't play today because of injury.

The team came into this game with the D being the walking wounded. We had a great run to steal the division from the fins but sooner or later all the injuries were going to catch up to us. KC only punted once the entire game. You dont win games when you cant stop the other team, but can you really blame the D when we had second and third stringers starting?

At any rate I will be taking my umbrella with me tomorrow. From all the irrational stuff I am reading on this board I figure some of these people will be jumping out of windows.

This hasn't really been talked about much. I thought a huge turning point of the game was when KC marched down the field after halftime. I said to myself I think the Bills might be in trouble. That was a huge statement drive and TD. I never felt like the Bills D could stop KC.

I knew the Bills needed a TD on their last drive. There was likely no path to win if they didn't score a TD. They definitely had their chances. We know the plays. In the end, the offense fell short of executing.  That sadly includes Allen who played magnificently.

You know young and up and coming teams play well but often lose in the end? Just not quite there yet. They need to get more experience and learn how to win.

This is how I feel the Bills are. A very good team that just doesn't know how to win past the WC round. It's more than a one off Bills fans. What's the answer to change the losing!

His 2 big mistakes were starting Klein and Jackson over Williams and Elam. Called these mistakes when I saw the starters. When he finally put Williams in the game and covered Kelsey with anybody other than Klein the d got better

I didn't doubt for a second he'd miss it, but I also knew it didn't matter.

Boy that was a tough game to lose, and there are plenty of individual things and moments we can key on, but I'm proud of how this team battled since 6-6 (and even before), excited for the next opportunity to cheer on Josh, and optimistic for how great a sports moment it will be when the Bills win the Super Bowl.

Go Bills!

Maybe I'm just used to the disappointment but this one didn't hurt as much. I'm maddest at Bass but can blame others including Josh on 2nd and 3rd down on the final drive. The defense was poor all game. I know McDermott not good enough but who is?

On a positive note, ESPN will at least have a highlight to show when they hand Damar the comeback player award. So there’s that. Which is nice.

Part of me thinks that’s why they ran him on that play instead of someone who actually had the talent to get the first down.  Someone had their eyes on a Hallmark Moment.  Hope I’m wrong.

Special teams coach should be fired Monday.   Worst fake punt I have ever seen. Looked like it had no chance from the start.  Punting tonight bad.  Missed filled goal.  We’re lucky his XP made it they sailed right too.

We never should have tried that, and that's on McD.  You have no idea that McD didn't instruct the STs coach to do that.  It was downright stupid.

The Bills weren't good enough to overcome the injuries, then you tack on the missed opportunities.

Been saying it since Josh was drafted, this offense needs more playmakers.

Agreed. We need wideouts.

McDermott is not going anywhere and I am not really his biggest supporter.  Bills finished the season strong and came up short against one of best QB's in NFL history.  I think the play calling at the end was not there and it cost us.  They should have had Allen pass or run himself on first down and not run Cook that got us behind the sticks.  Even if Bass makes that FG Mahomes has loads of time for game winning FG.

End of the day,  this offence is still not like before and we don't have enough speed at WR position.  We need to draft an explosive WR because Diggs has maybe one more year left in him.  Diggs still has not shown he can be a big play maker in playoff games,  that drop on that long pass hurt

If McDermott continues to push cavemen football you will not win in the playoffs,  you need pass and score as quickly as possible.

They kept trying to rush Mahomes around the edges despite Mahomes not having a huge night.  Mahome's night was very pedestrian.

Meanwhile, at opportune times, Pacheco ran as if he was Emmitt Smith in his prime.

Also, how are Kelce and a couple of other receivers wide f'n open?  We can't blame the LBs for that.  Anyone can cover, but not a player was in the area for several of their huge gains.

We need to face it, McD's Ds, and this one was all on him, simply collapse in the Divisional Round or after.

Wow, it's amazing to me to see all those who think we need to fire the coaches or make other radical changes.  I guess you guys weren't fans through the whole drought?  I was, and for the horror years when Miami beat us 20 times in a row.  I'm glad to have the team we have, and the coaches.  This game was a classic heavyweight bout, blow by blow with multiple lead changes and we had a chance to win it at the end but fell short.  It's not like the wheels fell off.  I'll get beat up for saying it but what we really witnessed was a valiant effort late in the season by a team whose defense was pretty much decimated.  Did you really think we were going to pull off a Super Bowl win?  There will be a year when we will not lose the war of attrition.  The Chiefs are not miles better than us, we damn near won.

Moving on from the coach is not irrational.  I thought the people who said to move on from McD after 13 seconds were irrational, it turns out they were right.

He did a great job building us up and ending the drought.  But he clearly can't play with the big dogs.  Defense is his specialty and the D was an embarrassment tonight by every metric.  Yes we had injuries.  More than most.  It's no excuse to have wide open receivers every single drive allowing a team to easily move the ball down the field.  He played a hurt punter and a kicker that clearly lost his confidence.  We are wasting a very special player's prime years.  It will be the great regret of the franchise unless we rip the band aid off.
