I suggest trying https://nextdoor.com/ rather than facebook.com.

Facebook can require information people are not comfortable (or unable to) giving.

You can try looking for help just in your neighborhood.

West Seneca Community Talk on Facebook is filled with requests for residential snow removal and answers from contractors …

I'd plow that.

Post this in one of the west Seneca Facebook groups … you’ll probably have much better response. Good luck!

I came here to suggest this.  If you already have a Facebook account, look around for a group in your neighborhood.  Also try Nextdoor and even "Buy Nothing", as you might have something you could swap for some help (a couple cans of soup, who knows?)

We have a Facebook group for our neighborhood and our town and I know people would be all over giving you a hand, it's just a matter of reaching the right folks.

Good Luck OP!

Great.  Cannot look at it because Facebook decided I have "suspicious activity" because I use a VPN.  I used to travel for work and sometimes my ip address changed every few days using public (hotel) internet.   Tried to give an alternate to person with issue.

Companies do not like VPNs for it makes more difficult to target their ads.

Yeah. Everybody said "get a VPN, you gotta have a VPN, you're vulnerable without a VPN, get a VPN"

All it did for me was make browsing difficult. You had to disconnect it every time you want to do banking, or some other activities. It triggered CAPTCHAs like crazy. It was a real PITA.

I can't fix a snowblower, but if you PM me your address, I will order a plow to come do your driveway for you.

What kind of snowblower is it? Is it the belt or is it the wire from the handle to tighten or loosen the belt? I'm no expert but snowblowers are typically pretty easy to fix. I fixed one last week for someone where the belt was slipping and it was because something was caught in the auger and not allowing it to spin freely. I think a lot of people are in similar situations and your best bet is fixing the snowblower and being self sufficient again. You might get a snowplow today but how about tomorrow?

Kudos @Einstein ! Shows we are truly a city of good neighbors and BillsMafia rules!!

To OP: YouTube is a fantastic place to see videos specific to your make/model of snowblower and what the problem is.   Can show you how to fix the cable yourself.

Good point.  Trying thawing the snowblower and then see what happens.
