What's your favorite Bills podcast?

Mine are Locked On Bills with Joe Marino and One Bills Live. I also like Mike Catalano a lot. Also, Arthur Moats has a Bills podcast on YouTube now.

There are also a few very weak podcasts as well, but I won't mention names.
Do you have a favorite(s)? Which one(s) and why?

Marino is good on draft analysis. His show bogs down when he spends time reciting biographical information of players, seasonal rankings and statistics of teams and players that can be gleaned elsewhere. Tedious. Show should be 15 minutes tops unless ‘herd mentality’.

Why? What do you like about it?

In season, Locked On the one I listen to almost daily. I agree that it can be a little dull at times...and it make me realize, you can overanalyze things too!

I also listen to the Chris Simms "Unbuttoned" podcast when I can, to keep up with the rest of the league.  I find him fairly entertaining to listen to

Locked On Bills, Cover 1, and One Bills Live are what I listen to. Locked On I listen to every day. One Bills Live I don't listen to everyday. Maybe once or twice a week.

Funny, because the stats and rankings are the main reason I like the show. My least favorite episodes by far are the herd mentality episodes.

But I'm a data and stats guy myself. That's what I do for work.

Locked on Bills, but now its full of dull, horrible ads making it no different than any other media.    Content wrapped around an equal amount of horrible ads.   You get what you pay for I guess.

There are a lot of ads on there, but apparently you can listen to the show ad-free on Amazon music if you have that.

I listen to Locked on Bills at 1.5 speed. Joe is so slow sometimes and often repeats himself so I like to speed it up.

Joe with Locked Down is my hands-down favorite. Always feel in sync with his analysis.

Cover1 I like the play concept breakdowns, but their discussions about the org and/or steps needed to improve the team are meh.

One Bills Live I like listening to Cosell.

I actually like Marino's seasonal rankings and some of the comparative stats he comes up with.   Some of it's interesting stuff that I personally wouldn't take the time to look up somewhere else.   I agree the biographical info is bit tedious and usually basic info that most football fans already know.

He's also fair in his criticism and praise of the Bills.  Doesn't shy away from calling out players or circumstances, but also keeps a good perspective of when the Bills are doing things well compared to the rest of the league.

I did get tired of the same analysis and repetitive takes after the season, so I stopped listening for now.  But I'll come back closer to the draft.

Locked in Bills is the #1 show for me. I’m not too into Xs and Os so Cover 1 is too much for me but Joe Marino is very spot on with his takes and analysis.

I must say tho it amazes me how many views and subscribers the Buffalo Fanatics show gets. All their hosts have horrible takes at time and their show is very surface. Can’t watch a show where I clearly feel much more knowledgeable than the hosts.

I listen to a few Bills-centric podcasts but I would not consider them my favorites.  I guess I listen in a way that liberals tune into Fox and conservatives tune into CNN, curious to see an alternative view.

Locked on with Marion?  Decent. Yet, he is not unique or trained in any way and it shows.  His "analytics" and analysis of data most of the time is weak - his logic a lot of the time is flawed and he draws erroneous conclusions based on the data.  He probably should take a few statistics classes as it is painful to listen to him try to connect dots.  Yet, clearly he is a passionate fan, is proud of his work, and puts time into it.  His podcast is fine.  Yet, he is wrong as much as he is right and some times he tries too hard to make something fit his narrative.

Shout?  I will tune into it a few times a season to see if it improves and as sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west it has remained a hastily put together echo chamber.  If one believes in Karma do NOT listen to this podcast.  They will make platitudes and absolute claims that make you cringe.  I.E., The Bills will blowout the Dolphins it will not be close.....game over by halftime, blah, blah, blah.  They are equally biased on how they observe players, well some players, where some players are all-stars no matter their lack of production and others are "misses" even though they are the only one's making plays.

OneBillsLive - It is way too long. I have never made it to the end of a podcast. Never.  30-35 minutes tops.  You can tell they are sponsored by the Bills.  Enough said.

I do appreciate some posters above that have identified other Bills-centric podcasts as I will try those.

Interesting question for sure.

Locked on Bills for overall. Cover 1 for more detailed discussions.

I liked Sal but he's become too close to the Bills and no longer can be objective.

Great topic. I love Locked On Bills.

Can we talk about how One Bills Live has all the potential in the world, but is ruined by “company men” Chris Brown and Steve Tasker?

The get all the interviews, guests, team resources … but they ruin it by asking softball questions and constantly stroking the team’s ego. Sometimes I listen just to see if that mentality changes after a loss, but it never does.

I like basically all the guys on
Cover One Network pods, especially Greg Tompsett/Aaron Quinn, and Anthony Prohaska. That group is my fav during the season. Also like the NYup guys Parrino/Talbot during camp in particular. Buffalo Plus group is ok, and Joe Marino is good for draft scouting.

agree. I listen to only the Cover 1 episodes with Tomosett, Quinn, Prohaska, and the film session with Turner.  The best ones are the Thursday game day previews with the opposing team’s podcaster.

the other cover 1 hosts are really meh.

Marino’s podcast is okay, but it suffers from him being the only host, and being on too much. Probably would be better if he did it twice per week, and had a co-host.
