I don’t know why they are so mad at the question. Bill Belichick just called them embarrassing for 60 minutes by running the same play over and over daring them to stop the run.

They showed a replay of this on ESPN, but you couldn't tell who was talking or what he was saying.

I have a hard time putting this on the defense.  They allowed only 14 points. Yeah, yeah, rushing yards. But 14 points is the bottom line. They mostly did their job.

The Bills D gave the ball back to the offense twice and said win it with a TD and both times the Bills choked.

Outside of that long run it was 45 carries and 165 yards.  And 14 points

 

This was all made worse by the weather and our absolute dog ***t running game.

I think it's a douche question myself. 

 

He could ask a couple dozen better questions about the run defense that would get better and more meaningful answers but I guess he can puff and pad the response he got into a story now.

This also isn't the end of the clip, Hyde keeps talking as he walks off the podium in disgust of the question. He never goes Jerry Springer mode, but he was talking well after Poyer had left the frame completely.

This is true, but given the circumstance with the wind, the offense did enough. Our pathetic defense couldn’t stop a run that everyone and their mother knew was coming. 

I blame more of the game on our terrible offensive line and RBs, but our defense got embarrassed tonight.

It should have been less than 7 given the conditions. The whole stadium knew the pats were running and they couldn’t stop it. That’s embarrassing.

Sullivan is a bad journalist because he inserts himself into the story. He just asked McDermott "are you embarrassed that the Pats only passed the ball three times and won?" That's not a proper press conference question. The question is the answer.
