Watson bulled him, carrying him into the end zone after making contact at the 10. However, one game does not make a career. He and Hyde have absolutely been lights out in pass coverage. I agree and giving him 2-3 years at around 7.5 million would seem fair or they cut let him walk and use the 3.2 million in cap savings to sign free agent from very healthy choice of safeties available. Most of the PREMIER strong safety’s that are coming to market this year have been 1st round picks with the 5th year option being placed on them, or at least the good ones for 4 years. So those guys coming to market are already around 27. Poyer is a very good safety, who knows this defense backward and forward and knows how to play off the other guys. Take advantage of Derm's ability to coax good safety play and add value to the franchise.
