davspo
Tough tough assignment. If there is a chance, we need to bang Ingram at the line of scrimmage or behind it with o-line play. Oliver and Phillips will have their hands full. Must take good angles to Jackson when he runs outside the tackles. Must run the ball and slow the game down. It's possible- anything is, but the Ravens are monsters right now.

colin
i think we run base D, but do a lot of blitzing and delay blitzing. we obviously have to stop the big play, but just forcing a negative play and/or penalty early on a drive will result in some punts. our d, at least in principal, is set up to force long drives, which is what the ravens do well. we just need to make some plays behind the line to force 3rd and long and then we will get some wins. on O, we have to keep doing what we have been doing. use the raven's aggressiveness against them and get to the edge or hit the quick passes for yac. i do think we will be able to go over the top once they start biting on the underneath stuff too. super hard match up, but on paper at least we have our plan cut out for us. we just need not to get blown off the ball. MTBill
A tough challenge for sure. If the Bills don't beat the Ravens, they are likely to win out and clinch homefield. On the other hand, the Patriots have their biggest challenge this week other than our game in the Chiefs. Here's to hoping the Chiefs win! If the Bills win out - they'd have a shot at home field - when is the last time that was possible this late in the season? Crazy. Ravens - tough, but I'm not giving up on our guys. AND - it's at home. That's a plus for sure. Patriots - tough, but they not only look beatable - they've been beaten. Pulling for the Chiefs to knock them down 1 more peg. Steelers - on the road, but this season is not the same as years past. Definitely winnable Jets - Hate this game. It has trap written all over it... It also has the potential to be important. The Bills are peaking at the right time - and now they can showcase what they are capable of. Go Bills! Id clog the line and keep everyone in their lanes. I’m talking 4 or 5 linemen in the gaps, 2 or 3 LBs playing off the line and crashing, a safety in the middle and two DBs. The second it’s apparent it’s not a run, drop the LBs, a lineman, and clog up the middle passing lanes. Make Jackson stay and throw to the sidelines or in really tight windows. how quickly can the linemen and LBs drop.....the WRs will be past them before they can drop in to the passing lanes
Westside
I think we should just forfeit this game. Nobody can beat the all powerful ravens. Screw that, go out there and punch them in the face! See how well they take it, then hit them again! Hell yeah!!!!! Go Bills!!!!!!
Like A Mofo
The formula for Buffalo is pretty simple: 1. No turnovers 2. Limit penalties (one of the few negatives of the season up to this point) 3. Run the ball consistently Do these 3 things, and the Bills are in the game late at minimum. Blank Stare
Not sure why I feel this way because I know this game is HUGE, but I’m not nervous about this game at all. For some reason, I feel like McD will figure something out to slow them down. Maybe we win, maybe we don’t, but I’m just excited to see how we stack up against the current #1 seed in the AFC. Sure, it’ll be tough, but this is exactly where we’ve been dying to get back to. Where we matter. Breathe it all in. We’re in a great position with everything we desire in front of us. (Of course, this is how I feel Monday. On Sunday I’ll probably be a nervous wreck ?).

warrior9
We will need great safety play. We need to play gap sound and have Poyer/ Hyde essentially "shadowing" Lamar and playing down in the box, disguising coverages. I think having a safety in the box as an extra LB essentially while playing hook/hole would be huge. Now this is also where we benefit from the athleticism of Milano and Edumunds. I'm interested to see what McD / Frazier draw up for this. I think we can absolutely get away with Cover 1 given how athletic we are. The Chargers did this last year with Derwin James and Lamar couldn't break free.

syhuang
3 minutes ago, Mike in Horseheads said: Ok I'm old and don't know all the new fancy stats, WTF is DVOA https://www.footballoutsiders.com/info/methods THE ULTRA-SHORT VERSION: DVOA measures a team's efficiency by comparing success on every single play to a league average based on situation and opponent. THE SHORT VERSION: DVOA is a method of evaluating teams, units, or players. It takes every single play during the NFL season and compares each one to a league-average baseline based on situation. DVOA measures not just yardage, but yardage towards a first down: Five yards on third-and-4 are worth more than five yards on first-and-10 and much more than five yards on third-and-12. Red zone plays are worth more than other plays. Performance is also adjusted for the quality of the opponent. DVOA is a percentage, so a team with a DVOA of 10.0% is 10 percent better than the average team, and a quarterback with a DVOA of -20.0% is 20 percent worse than the average quarterback. Because DVOA measures scoring, defenses are better when they are negative. For more detail, read below.

SCBills
We've scored 37, 20 and 26 since the Cleveland game. The 20 and 26 are results of us basically running out the clock for an extended period of time. Our Offense is becoming, dare I say... good? Josh Allen has taken some huge steps forward as the season has gone on. It looks like it's started to click for him. Our OL is legitimately a top half of the league unit and we have playmakers in Singletary, Knox, Brown, Beasley, Foster and McKenzie. That's a talented QB, with a good OL and a lot of speedy playmakers finding their identity post-Cleveland in the up-tempo run & shoot/K-Gun offense. I have to think this highly rated defense is pretty excited for the opportunity to do what New England and San Fran's Defense could not. (Granted, SF held them to 20, but their offense didn't come through) It won't be easy, but i'm really liking what I see from this team, on both sides of the ball.
