bigbuffs
I just spent a large portion of the evening playing around on espn’s playoff machine. And it seems that as long as we beat the Steelers we could lose the rest of our games and still get in at 10-6. In fact there is a scenario where both us and the Steelers make it if there is a tie at 10-6 with Buffalo, Tennessee, Houston, Indy and Pitt. Now there are probably still some scenarios I didn’t get but believe me I covered plenty. I also never explored ties but as far as getting in goes, we need to beat Pittsburgh. If they get the tiebreaker over it's going to be much more difficult to get in. Edited December 2, 2019 by bigbuffs
Scott7975
Nah. Win them all and take the division. Let the Pats lose in the wildcard round and completely decimate their fan base for once. 12 3

They have the Saints and Texans X2, and the Raiders on the road. 2 possibly 3 losses right there if not 4. Bills only need to worry about who they play and are capable of beating any of the 4 left
Jamie Nails
Yup. I did the same with the NY Times playoff machine and that's the one. We are in with that win regardless of the outcomes of the other games. If we were to hypothetically win one other and drop three, there's not the same certainty- close, but not in. Of course that would change things but I was trying to explore worst case scenario type results from all the other teams. We could lose every one of these last 4 games and still make it if the stars align. But the point is, if we beat Pittsburgh it seems we may be all but guaranteed a playoff spot. No I got you, I understand. I was curious if Pittsburgh loses next week, does that make the Buf-Pit game still crucial game?

Sammy Watkins' Rib
I'd like to clinch next week if at all possible. Beat the Ravens. Steelers lose at Murray and the Cardinals. Titans lose at the Raiders. Could maybe clinch a playoff spot? And oddly enough, I now feel more confident in beating the Steelers with the game moved to Sunday Night for some reason.
mykidsdad
I'm feeling good right now. So good, but one game at a time. Realistically, we should win 2 out of 4 and be the 5th seed. Its jus so freaking good not to be 6 and 6 right now like we seem to be every other year, hoping 9 and 7 might get us in on tie breaks.

Doc Brown
We're in next week with -Victory against Ravens -Titans over Raiders -Cardinals over Steelers -Broncos over Texans -Bucs over Indy Seems simple enough.

cage
If we lost 3 of 4 in December and limped into the playoffs at 10-6, it would be very disappointing. We'd be going in on a low and likely lose in the first round. The only positive to say on the year would be that "at least we made the playoffs"... no thanks at this stage! Let's focus on beating Ravens!

H2o
Pittsburgh still has the Ravens on their schedule as well. I can't see them winning that game with either Hodges, or Rudolph, or even Ben if he wants to lace them up.

Giuseppe Tognarelli
The New York Times model is the best, in my opinion. Lose out: 54% chance of making playoffs (this is probably what Cynthia Frelund will have, LOL) Lose out until beating Jets: 96% chance of making playoffs Win out: 56% chance of #1 seed Win out and Chiefs beat Patriots: #1 seed
