This will be a tough game. A few weeks ago Denver went into Indy and had the lead most of the way until a FG in the final seconds gave the Colts the win. Yesterday the Vikes needed a huge 2nd half rally to win. This will be a good test for Allen and the offense as the Broncos D is no joke. I do think the Bills D will handle the Broncos offense. With what is coming up at Dallas, Baltimore, at Pitt, at NE this is a must win. I think the Bills win a close one 20-17.

Hope Ford can contain Von Miller for the most part. This may be a week where we see some decent screen plays.

I'm hoping our game plan helps the young guy out. I also hope the fan base here doesn't blow up with the 'Bust' label if he has a bad game. Ford is a rookie potentially going up against a 9 year vet who has been to 7 pro bowls, a 3x first team all-pro, has over 100 career sacks, a Super Bowl MVP and potentially a HOF jacket.

Broncos are one of the better "bad teams". It's similar to the Browns game but at home.

Not really. The offenses of the two teams are very different. The biggest issue for Bills in this game is V. Miller and game planning to deal with him. Ryan Bates should be activated this week.

Is Denver allowing 19.7 pts per game or is Denver allowing 17.0 pts per game??

Denver struggled with play action against Minnesota.  I’d stick with a heavy dose of that

You have to remember as well that Vic Fangio was the defensive coordinator for Chicago.  He's used to devising game plans against Minnesota.

I just posted this on the "Broncos in Turmoil" thread, but since the conversation has moved here ... my thoughts on why the Broncos game will likely be a close one:

As bad as Fangio's debut as a 60-something HC has been:

- the Broncos have lost 3 games in the final 22 seconds (partly bad coaching/clock management, partly bad luck), and that doesn't include yesterday

- as bad as the O line and QB situation has been they've still been able to run the ball effectively most of the time. Lindsay and Freeman are a really good 1-2 punch

- the D is still formidable, and Von Miller appeared to wake up yesterday, and Shelby Harris is emerging as a playmaker on the D line

- Elway has generally been a big fail as a GM, but he has put together some real young talent at skill position on offense: Courtland Sutton is moving into the top tier of WRs, and they got back another 2018 draft pick in Tim Patrick that gives them 2 big receivers that cause some matchup problems (if only a QB could get them the ball reliably ...). Noah Fant has had a difficult adjustment to the NFL, but he's an uber talented athlete at TE.

So this is a team that is not to be taken lightly. The weird thing is how slowly they're trying to work in Drew Lock at QB, almost as if they see something really problematic in his development that fans haven't been able to see yet ....

Chip Von Miller all game long please

they absolutely will, no worries.

Also a lot of play action to keep their d-line honest.

Hope to see some WR screens to Von's side with cut blocks on him immediately. Id say RB screens too but we dont/cant run those really well so I doubt it

I think I am coming up for this game.  As long as work complies and doesn't send me on some international trip somewhere.  I missed the Eagles and Skins game because of work (only two missed this year).  So lets go work leave me alone, and I will be back home to Buffalo watching

How long do you have to keep that God awful logo?

Slight correction here.  Bills had scored 174 total points or 19.3 ppg going into game vs Fins.   So only up 1.8 ppg.

That is the stat line.

Buffalo    21.1

Yes.

I posted the wrong #'s

I posted that not Chandler

You are correct

1.8 ppg.

Gotcha - thanks I quoted from wrong poster.

Happy to see Bills up over 21 ppg average.  If they can average 25 ppg scored for balance of season pretty sure they can go 3-3 at a minimum.

The Denver game has concerned me for weeks.  I never understood why people were chalking this up as one of the "easy" games.  Minnesota is a very solid club and Denver just went in there and put up nearly 400 yards of balanced offense. Denver has a pretty good D as well.   I'll take a late field goal and get out of this game alive.

Kind of like the Bills did last year?
not saying Denver will be easy, none of them are. If the team plays like they did yesterday they will win against Denver.

Certainly not an easy game but we have a better defense and a better offense.  Not by a lot, but both are measurably better.

I think we saw the potential of our offense this past week.  I don't know that Denver, led by Brandon Allen, is capable of that.

It's at home, and unlike Philly/Cleveland, they aren't fighting for their playoff lives..  That second half collapse against Minnesota basically ended their hopes.

Denver played well for a half against a Minnesota team coming off a huge emotional win over the Cowboys - a game that very much mattered. Denver had a full week off to prepare and plan for Minnesota. Minnesota's D isnt as good as our D. Denver does have a legit defense. Playing that game in a dome in ideal weather helped their offense as well.

We should win, but it will be a close game.
