We can go small and fast: Brown, Beasley, McKenzie, Foster Or we can bulk up and go power/size: Knox, Duke, Tommy/Smith, Zay. Think how much that could help the run game. And you still have enough weapons there to pass out of that grouping, to avoid being predictable. Or we could go any multiple, varied combinations in between based on matchups (obviously with Brown and Beasley still being two of your primary receivers most of the time). I just don't see that happening THIS week. Josh going thru the protocol and all I don't see a huge change. Now as the game goes on things could change some and Duke gets more snaps. I would think any big changes as to how the WRs are used would come after the bye week. I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but it's not clear to me they're kicking Zay to the curb and plugging Williams into his role. Maybe they are, and maybe they aren't. You watch other teams and there are plays where the throw is not perfect, yet the WR fights and makes a grab. Not here, not yet anyway. Duke looks like he could fill that void, and give Allen a clutch target. One by one a player would enter the picture and run an out route to the sideline. Then Duke entered the picture. I know he's not huge at 6'3", 228lbs but it was almost like a Jurassic Park movie when you are watching the velociraptors running around and the T-Rex suddenly shows up. He definitely has a body type that was missing in the WR group. He was also the only one to make the catch, quickly stop and turn up the sideline. McDermott made it pretty clear in his presser that he was not happy with how some passes were not contested for.
