This is so true. Duke Williams is poster boy this year.

As for McCoy, I am sure they tried to trade but as many others have stated the contract is a deal killer. In the end, I bet they decided to do him a favor and release so he could pick his landing spot.

The RB corps is starting to look very similar to a NE Patriots group - multiple guys who all do something really well and they can use differently from game to game depending on the plan and the weaknesses in the defense they face.

I love the way it’s shaping up. Josh Allen’s offense.

Breakaway speed is a “nice” to have, not a “need” to have quality in a good RB. The HOF is packed with RBs who didn’t run a fast 40.

I guess the reality of it is we run the same system as NE now and it doesnt require that sort of back.  With the smaller faster players on D now days a bruiser can keep moving the chains.

At least that is what I'm going to tell myself.

Well Singletary isn't a bruiser. So we are asking a lot of a 36 year old.

Fans become so enamored with certain players. Does Duke Williams add something to the WR corps as a big body, he sure does. He caught two red zone TDs against 3rd stringers and everyone gets super excited like he’s gonna start doing it against Richard Sherman. He’s a big slow WR. He may or may not be a PS candidate but we are basically trying to run the Patriots offense so the necessity for one isn’t super large.

McCoy does have something left in the tank, but he’s not what he used to be. He wasn’t going to be back in 2020 so they saved his money and gave Devin Singletary his spot to see if he can be the full time guy, and will keep Gore to mentor him, Yeldon as the 3rd guy, and possibly Perry for his STs.

I've been going back and forth with people all week, thinking he wasn't going to make it on the 53 man roster, he's too slow to play between the 20s. Put him on the PS and spend the year gaining ~25 pounds & convert him to a TE. He's got a big frame, strong hands & is a really good blocker. I think he would excel at TE once he knows the position.

So far.  Can't see Sills making it.  Wade might make it after Shady got cut.

I had Sills to the practice squad as the 7th or 8th WR.  Unless the Bills bring in some cuts that happen today, he might just make it as WR6

Couldn't we leverage shady to get some draft picks at least from Cincinnati?  They're kinda in dire need of a rb.  Loved shadys time here, sorry to see him go out unceremoniously, but hope he lands somewhere

You nailed it. I was getting beat up all week saying he was too slow to play WR and should be dominating the 3rd & 4th string guys he was playing. A switch to TE might do him good.

Maybe they had a weak offer from a crud team like Cincinnati and out of respect for Shady decided to allow him to determine his own fate.

The WR's will be Brown, Beasley, Foster, Jones, McKenzie and Roberts.  Sills would be 7th.
