Yeah, I remember.  That's the only reason he's still employed right now.

A 2nd year QB open for trade?

I would be a tad suspicious

I'm amazed that the Cards are giving this much leeway to Kingsbury, amazed that their GM still is employed and will be pissed off if he ends up on the Pats. No one should be giving that team a damn thing, let along a highly drafted QB

He didn't.  And he was supposedly the most pro-ready of them all.  Didn't look like it.

When his feet were set and he had a clean pocket, he made some great throws.  Obviously there were some he'd like to have back.

A team with an aging QB should be all over Rosen.  He has the tools.  Like most talented QBs, he just needs the right situation.

If he goes to NE, I'm going to be sick.

You know it’s going to happen...he’s perfect for that system...and the Pats have a boat load of picks...easy decision for them.

Although it would be kind of cool to have Allen, Rosen and Darnold all in the same division.  If that isn't motivation for those 3, I don't know what is.

The Broncos should be the ones going after Rosen.

Flacco IS NOT the answer for them.

Agreed. Plus, Washington cant love Keenum either. Rosen has to have more upside than Keenum and Smith's leg?

A 2nd rounder worth be worth it just as a backup QB on a cheap deal for 3 years... I don't get it.

That's because it's purely my opinion, and one I'm sure most Bills/Jets fans hold, as Rosen gets excuses made for him left and right lately.

You can list whatever rankings you want - I simply don't believe he had it any tougher than Allen/Darnold.

Alright!!  Screw all them facts and stats!

But let's get to the meat of this discussion:  what is your opinion/belief regarding the true shape of the Earth?

He wasn't a HC when he concluded that.  But McD was...

Good. He will be Bledsoe Junior with less talent and likability.

This unfortunately means that the Jets will end up with Nick Bosa or Quinnen Williams

or Josh Allen !!!

And all the 6 QBs taken in the 2018 draft (first 3 rounds) will be in either AFC East or North !!!!!

I hope he goes to the Patriots.  I will love watching him get crushed twice a year.  The Bills and Jets are improving and now is the time to start the domination.  I also hope the Bills load up on d-line in the draft, to pressure Brady, Rosen, or whoever they have back there.

They have certainly discussed the possibility internally, one source said, though those talks were extremely preliminary. They don't even seem sure at the moment whether they'd prefer Rosen - the 10th overall pick a year ago -- to the quarterbacks in this year's draft

Rosen can certainly sling it, but not sure how his body will hold up healthwise.  I still think he could be a really great QB in the right situation.  He's got the arm and pre-snap read ability you look for in an NFL QB.  He just needs to work on his decision-making.

Interesting.

I think prospect-wise, Rosen would have be the #1 QB in this class.

But with the last year playing out like it did, what do you give his chances to be successful compared to a Haskins?

Rosen was still a highly rated prospect and that team was/is a mess. Good QB on tape, in the right situation (and provided he works on his game) he still projects as a good pro. I certainly don't want a top 10 QB pick going to the Pats who was on a dumpster fire of a team after his rookie season. As last year, he would still be a top QB this draft.

I'd take Haskins over Rosen in a heartbeat.  Never understood the Rosen love on this board last year.  Bad lateral movement leads to tons of sacks.  Gets more balls batted down than qbs much shorter than him.  Not a.winner.  Has an average arm and isnt overally accurate.

It's always been weird to me that teams without an established franchise QB don't draft MULTIPLE QBs high and have legit competitions for the starting job. If it's the most important position in sports, and you don't have a good one, why wouldn't you take as many high swings as possible until you do?

Cards should keep Rosen, draft Murray at 1, let them compete for the starting job, and let whoever loses either be a backup on a cheap deal, or trade away said player AFTER you're already pretty sure the other guy is the franchise.

Cowboys did this way back when with Aikman and Walsh and so did the Skins with Griffen and Cousins. Worked out for both teams ok. Skins mismanaged the entire thing, Cowboys didn't.

I disagree. Why have the Pats get a high round QB, they pick near the bottom now, lets not let them have a shot at a QB of the future. I think there is almost no way to accurately assess Rosen based on the team he played for last year.

Totally agree. I did not like him and I wasn't a fan of Allen. I was a HUGE Mayfield fan (look at my 2 year old posts). Anyhow, I do feel for the kid IF he dies get booted.
