Why do you think there are dancers male dancers in the NFL? Were there demands by the fans for this? Is it going to make the league more money? Please! Just get off your high horse. This is pure catering to a group of people that don't really consume the NFL's product but have had a huge impact on all forms of entertainment over the last few years. If you want to live in fantasy land where you think this is happening because there is some demand for it and it is going to make the league better then go ahead. I'm not doing it. I'm not saying there shouldn't be male dancers and they can't have jobs at sporting events but this is a total SJW move and the only reason they are doing this is to for them to have some illusion of equality. In no way is this needed or will it improve the product on TV or at the stadium. There is also no demand for it and I don't see any reason for male dancers other than to appease a group of psychos that otherwise don't care about the game. It's like the movie industry nowadays which now before you are able to get a script green lighted, you need to check the list of minimum number of minorities/women in key roles whether it pertains to the plot or not. Star Wars is the perfect example. People can keep laughing at Vince McMahon, but when the NFL starts throwing 15 yard flags on proper tackles and having male dancers to appease SJW"s who don't care about football, we getting closer to a tipping point where die hard fans just say !@#$ it. The game isn't as good as it used to be and that is obvious. If McMahon can give some of that old school feeling back to the game, he will have a market. If he can survive 5 years, with the way things are going, I can see his league being a threat to NFL dominance. Why on earth do you think "Social Justice Warriors" have any concerns about this? Why can't it be male dancers who like football and think being part of the cheerleaders on the sidelines at the game would be fun? 24 minutes ago, No Place To Hyde said: Not sure. Personally I don't care if there are guys paid to dance on the sidelines. What I don't like is how it is seemingly being forced into the framework to appease a irrational people and so those people can have some faux sense of equality. What I don't "get" is where is the evidence that this is "being forced into the framework to appease an irrational people" and what it has to do with a "faux sense of equality". Unless you have some other source than the link posted, all that seems way more about you than about the male cheerleaders. The article linked gives the names of 2 male professional dancers who auditioned successfully for the Rams squad. Professional male dancers audition for a dance gig, alert the media - I'm sure that resulted from a big national social justice agenda and not just dudes wanting another gig. Then, according to the article, a male professional dancer auditioned for the Saints after his mommy saw an article about the Rams auditions and encouraged him to try out. Mommy encouragement is a powerful force, but it's usually about what the kid wants and not "appeasing irrational people" "faux sense of equality" or any of those other good Buzz Terms. Why do you think this is "seemingly" some grand force and agenda? Back in Da Day when cheerleaders were more about leading cheers and less about scanty costumes, male cheerleaders were relatively common, so you could just call this "retro" Edit: here's an interview. One of the two Rams male cheerleaders said he was watching the Laker girls, thought to himself "why can't I be down there on the sidelines like that?", called a friend and found out when the audition was, and showed up. No national Feminazi Social Justice agenda, just a dancer wanting a gig
