Ouch! But it is the very reason I never wanted Rosen, I think he is one good hit from being done with his football career.

I don't care if Y'all call me dumb or non-football savvy but Josh has always been my guy. Him and Baker. I honestly thought that the Browns would take Baker at 4th and the clue was Tyrod for the 3rd rounder. Both guys can run the same offence. Similar size, mobility. Tyrod will teach this guy to be more serious and professional. It's a perfect fit. As for Josh, He and Baker were the only 2 I felt that have the "it" factor. He's no dummy folks. He will get more accurate even if PFF beats it thinking/hoping he'll flop. He hasn't had enough time with great coaching and that is a plus, in a way, but I feel like the most pressing issue is getting him great coaches. I've been more worried about Daboll than the QB we were getting in the 1st round.  BILLEIVE IN THA MCBEANE PROCESS...even Daboll I guess.

I'm not sure if you saying Josh Allen is injury prone, and I'm not trying and delegitimize your viewpoint. I do think that concussions are a whole other sort of injury when it comes to contact sports. Rosen may have entered 2017 healthy, but he certainly didn’t finish it that way. During his junior year in 2017, Rosen suffered two concussions in less than a month. As we’ve seen with many other players, subsequent concussions in a short time period raise a major concern about a player’s long-term health. Research suggests that players who experience more than one concussion throughout their career are more likely to experience an additional concussion at a later date. This effect increases as a player suffers more concussions. Rosen isn't worth the risk of a high 1st round pick with his concussion history combined with his much maligned attitude.

Baker needs to listen in order to learn. Tyrod may not be a strong enough personality to make him listen.

I'm pointing out that Allen has a repeated serious injury history that can't be dismissed and since Rosen was selected with the 10th pick in round 1 your point on Rosen is moot.   Hopefully Allen doesn't try to take on LBs in the NFL.

I am s glad that we have a redneck and not some "boy who cried wolf" social justice warrior. Allen has a strong arm to handle the wind they say.  While I say the wind may have given Rosen a concussion.  I also say there are enough snow flakes in Buffalo during December.

Agreed you have to play smart if you want to last in the NFL. Too many QBs wait too long to slide. I wouldn't have spent the 10th pick on Rosen, it's the 10th pick in the draft, especially with players like Vita Vea still available. I'm just saying that a list of 3 injuries one of them is from his sophomore year in High School and another had him missing 2 games is not as damning as as 2 concussions in less than a month. Just sayin....

Interesting.

And nf still I question that the Bills have the offensive coaching staff in place to develop Allen.

This should be everyone's biggest concern, imo.

Yeah, that's an awkward pairing. Will make for an interesting QB room in Cleveland.

I noticed you didn't mention 2015 with regard to Allen.  Vita Vea?  Are you serious when all ARZ had at QB is Bradford and Glennon?  Terrible idea.

I am an Allen fan and have been leading up to the draft and was ecstatic when the Bills chose him . Now it seems that a lot of the true professionals  in football  are saying they were and are Allen supporters. I took a fair amount of flak for my position but everybody is entitled to their opinion.

I didn't mean to convey that Vita Vea was a good fit for the Cards. I was simply naming a highly touted player that was still available when Rosen was chosen. I would rather have Mason Rudolph than Josh Rosen. I honestly believe that time will show that he was the better value pick. If I was the Arizona GM I would have traded down like Baltimore did and still land a QB. I do not think that Rosen will be a pick that the Cards will be bragging about in 3 years. Mason Rudolph may be one that Steeler fans are crowing about.

Thank goodness for Cards' fans you weren't in their war room with any clout. Yikes!

I was a fan of Nate Peterman while he was throwing interceptions in Los Angeles, as he was the QB under center. That being said, I was heartily relieved when Taylor started the second half. If Peterman had started the following game, I would have been his fan then, too. But, I wouldn't have been happy about him starting.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Allen. It's weird how polarized the usual suspect talking-head pundits seem to be about him. If I were to believe what they're saying (I don't), he's either going to be the next GOAT, or the next JaMarcus Russell. And after watching his game tape, I feel like I can see the valid points to both sides. My fear is that he lands somewhere in the middle, hangs around a little too long, and becomes as polarizing to the fan base as so many of our past quarterbacks have been.

But, for now, I'm a fan.

Time will tell my friend. Feel free to throw it in my face when the Cards are riding high on Rosen and the Steelers are still searching for Big Ben's replacement (give it 3 years). I'll happily bow to your superior football vision if that comes about. Until then let's get back to supporting our team and watching the cracks in the Patriots organization expand :D

He wasn't my first, second, or third choice for QB, but I've decided to leave those decisions up to the guys who get paid for it, completion % be damned.  There's something to be said for the Bills getting the #1 guy on their list.  This, of course, is not to be confused with the Cardinals, who merely lied about getting #1 guy on their list.  And... I know, I know... watching youtube videos, particularly the Senior Bowl, has given me some added optimism.  I'm in.

I was worried after reading a lot of the posts and listening to WGR prior to and after the draft of how people would receive him the first time he entered the Stadium on game day.....I was thinking that would really stink for him if he got booed...but this particular thread makes me proud to be a Bills fan.  We may have differing opinions and argue but deep down we are Bill's fans for better or worse.

Not that it should matter to others; but, I am very happy to see the results of this poll. This kid deserves every chance and I for one think that he has the talent to make it work.

Looking back, as a group we were highly supportive of EJ and Losman, two players that I thought had little to no chance of being any good. I was a big fan of RJ and thought that he would turn this team around. :):):)

Josh deserves the support of our community. He is thrilled to be here and I respect this. He is a big strong kid who can brave the elements of Buffalo winters and zip the football through the October winds of WNY.

We Bills Fans deserve a top shelf qb. I hope that he turns out to be great!

PS: I hope to see AJ shine as well!

Well said Clint! :)

I feel the same way. If he is really good, he will own the town and the Bills can go places. Exciting times, no?

i didn't really see it going down as it did. i thought we would be lucky to end up with rudolph...who i think will have a good career.

that being said, i after having done some research, am now drinking the kool aid, i love this kid, but hope he gets a year to sit while a.j. takes us to hosting a wc playoff game.

Can you add a fence sitter... maybe line.  I am still of the show me mode.  He has potential and if coached up right... I like the measurable and his quick release.  Guys seems like he is a stand up kind of guy and tough.  May need some seasoning and if he can figure out the short swing passes.  But I think there may be some growing pains.  Others think he may be a bust.  We shall see?

Allen is the only QB I could picture with us and be ok with it. Darnold turns it over, Rosen’s personality is so annoying that it shows in every press conference and interview I’ve seen. Mayfield was the other one I thought we might get but I didn’t like him either and he reminded me too much of Manzel. Short, cocky and would be a bad fit with coach. Jackson is a wildcard that will probably get hurt but will do something amazing every game before the inevitable happens.

For years many of us have wanted a big armed, big bodied sturdy QB and we have him. I’m happy. Now let’s get an O-line together and give him some weapons. Only fear is that he is started too soon and gets beat up from a bad o-line and only throws like 15 passes a game. He can be big time if we set him up. Happy to have a gunslinger type

Pretty simple.  Just looking to see where this board stands on our QB?

I wasn’t a fan of this he pick and the entire bar turned around and looked at me when I screamed *************** as loud as I could when I heard Goodell announce Allen instead of Rosen.

A week later, Allen is my guy and while I want to see our new QB ASAP, I hope we sit him til at least week 7.  Potential brutal start to the schedule with a patchwork OL and no WRs.  I hope he gets some time to experience the rigors of what the nfl is all about before he becomes our starter.

I now, love me some Josh ALLEN

I'm a huge Bills fan...but I've been a Bills fan for almost 30yrs ... I've been here... I've seen their mistakes. & drafting Allen looks like a huge one.... this feeling you have is called "Bills Delusional Hope" I had this with JP...Trent... especially after Trent beat the Chargers... I was at that game, we were 5-0... man... what a high... then Fitz... his hot start was amazing. Then I had "Bills Delusional Hope" when we drafted EJ... funny how Mike Mayock was high on this Kid too... now I'm experienced... I don't go by hope...i go by what I see, I started listening to my brain & not my heart. When you have "Bills Delusional Hope" you don't see failure, you only feel success is on its way. I had Darnold, Jackson, Rosen, Allen, Mayfield, Lauletta, Rudolph in that order.  The difference between Allen and Rosen was neglible to me.

I think Rosen has been terribly mistreated by the media as the NFL has gone so far right politically.  That said, I have a lot of concerns about Rosen's frailty.

As to Allen, he is our boy now. Probably has the most he needs to prove, but has off the charts potential.

I just hope we take it slow and patient with him before all the naysayers "I told you so" vultures start circling at the first signs of trouble. All young QBS need time to develop.
