  1. 1. If we get our QB at 12, do you take Calvin Ridley at 22

Let’s assume we have held our ground and the Bills select at 12,

Quarterback,

JoshBakerSamLamar RosenMayfieldDarnoldJackson.

(Doesn’t matter who...)

And C Rid is sitting there at 22.

Consensus #1 WR in the draft.

Do we take him?

i know here are more variables at play here (who’s left...etc).

Just putting out a name who none of us seem to be discussing.

Smallish WRs drafted in round 1 don't seem like they've been working out well in recent years in the NFL.  I like the idea of a WR at 22, but the only WR I'd take there is Sutton and he's probably off the board before then anyway.

I generally think that a BPA approach to the draft is smarter. But, this year is different. First pick should be BQBA. I think the next four picks after that should be BPA among OL, LB, and WR. If that is Ridley at 22, then so be it. But, I suspect it won't be.

I would think that Billy Price, Isaiah Wynn, Roquan Smith, or Mike McGlinchey, would all be around Ridley's level on the Bill's draft board, and one or more could be available at 22. I could certainly see any one of them being considered before Ridley. I don't like the concerns that scouts have expressed regarding Ridley's durability, and I hope he's not Zay Jones 2.0. But, if he's the highest of those three positions at 22 (assuming we still have 22), then yeah, we should take him. But, I'm not in love with the idea.

Smith will be gone before 12 let alone be available at 22.

Not in my opinion. If the Bills stay at 12 and take a QB, MLB Rashaan Evans should be the target. DJ Chark, Anthony Miller, DeSean Hamilton, and maybe James Washington will be available in the 2nd. MLB is a MUST coming out of the Draft one way or the other and I would also think another coverage LBer, Fred Warner? O'Daniel?

Chark, Moore and Miller are all better than Ridley.  LB must be the pick at 22

I'd definitely address LB over WR, especially if one of the big 4 (Smith, Edmunds, Vander Esch, Edwards) is available.

Depends on who the QB is. If it's Rosen it better be an offensive lineman.  Anyone else, BPA.

MLB must be the selection.

After Roquan And Tremaine are gone who has a 1st red grade in the middle though.

We have the best intel in the NFL on Ridley, if they draft him he will be a stud.

Great point

Would rather take a 2nd round WR

Call me crazy but if no trade ups... I wouldn’t mind two WRs by end of round 3

12-qb

22– wr/lb

2a—wr/lb

2b— rb

3a— ol

3b — wr/te... or trade for Bryant in Pittsburgh

as a rough example of getting qb, 3 playmakers on offense and a project for the line without skipping mlb.

we need guys that can make explosive plays on offense.

Don't think Evans is there are 22. Heard he may be going sooner.
