TSW Mock Draft vs Actual Draft

With the 93rd pick the Jacksonville Jaguars select Kyle Lauletta, QB, Richmond

Lauletta still on the board in late 3rd Round, great value. Jags get the future starting QB . Lauletta can sit behind Bortles and if Bortles cant lead Lauletta steps in.

Good 3 round for the Jags.

1. Will Hernandez, G, UTEP

2. Hayden Hurst, TE, South Carolina

3. Kyle Lauletta, QB, Richmond

The Vikings and @TPS are on the clock

Having heard Greg Cosell on the JMS on my drive home, I was persuaded by what he had to say about this individual, that he would be an excellent nickel corner, and the Vikings could use some youth there as well. So, with the 94th pick in the 2018 NFL draft, the Minnesota Vikings take Duke Dawson, CB, Florida.

I do have but one regret, I should've selected Kolton Miller instead of Brown R1. The main reason is Miller could step in at LT, while Brown is most likely pegged as an RT. The Vikings could use a lot of help on the O-line, and Miller would've helped solidify 3 positions, allowing them to move Rieff to RT and sliding Remmers to RG.

The dreaded Patriots and @aristocrat are on the clock.

I wish I would have taken Baker / Leonard or even Griffin in round 2 instead of Rasheem Green.  I didn't realize Foster's legal situation is as bad as it is, it looks like he's done.

Question for the draft gurus here. I really wanted to take a guard at 94 for the Vikes, and I came across Wyatt Teller of VT. He reminded me of Richie. He's a converted D-lineman and extremely strong. Analyses fall in the range of mid R3 to R4. He seems like he'd be a good pick up for the Bills at 96, though maybe in R4? Appreciate any comments.

I watched he's a little of this video. Despite the false start, check out the pancake at 1:08. He's #57

Final tally for the Giants:

Bradley Chubb, EDGE

Derrius Guice, RB

Tyrell Crosby, OT

Braden Smith, OG

Our defense will be much improved with the addition of Chubb and the direction of James Bettcher. Our offense will develop a new identity as a hard nose running unit led by the downhill style of Guice and the improved offensive line. Our passing game will bounce back with Pat Shumar calling the shots. I expect us to contend for the division and win at least 10 games this season.

We're coming for ya champs.

That’s a pretty good draft. Trade back and lose Chubb, but pry get a lot of help at DB and shore up the defense.

I am very interested to see how the talent at DB bounces back under the new regime.

Its so hard to tell who the giants are because they seemingly were so badly coached.

As the Browns I was very excited to see you take Brown. Miller will slide into the open LT spot and be a nice Joe Thomas replacement.

Nice job. If they are going to pass on a QB they need to come away with something similar. 3/4 guys that will make an immediate impact and open a window for ELi to win his third SB.

Owners, this is the thread that we will use for our 2 Round, No-Trade Mock Draft.  The clock officially starts at 5pm on April 5th.  Each owner has 8 hours to make their pick or it will be made for them.  If a pick is made after 8pm, then the next pick won't be due until 12pm the next day, for reasons of sleep and time-zone differences.  Again, there are no trades.

If you want a quick reference to players available or draft status, please use THIS, put together by BuffaloHokie13.  Or, if you want the one I threw together after watching a lot of tape, try THIS.

When you make your pick, please try to use the following format "With the 12th selection, the Buffalo Bills select Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State.  The Redskins @billspro are on the clock"

Round 1

Thanks Virgil! Great draft everyone. Hopefully we don’t have to see Rosen in a Dolphins uniform on draft night.

Alright everyone, that’s a wrap.  Thank you all so much for participating and sticking with me through 3 rounds. Thank you @BuffaloHokie13 for making the BPA sheet and thank you @Canadian Bills Fan for pinning this.

Yes, thanks for doing this all. A good way to pass the time until draft day and learn more about prospects.

First, thanks Virgil for putting this together, and thanks everyone who participated. It was interesting even as an observer.

WRT this outcome... It's a tough one. Biggest disappointment was at the most important position. I like the rest of the draft, and any other year I'd be thrilled, but dont like how we played our cards at QB.

I agree, I am really only in support of 3 of the picks and Jackson is not one of them(DJ Chark, Frank Ragnow,Darius Leonard).

IMO with no trade up and all these picks this draft is a disappointment.

Thank you Virgil again for the time put in to run another draft. Very interesting results

Virgil tx for taking the time to do this

This would be a GREAT draft if it actually played it out that way......a ton of potential at every position.   People who love every pick after pick 1 just cant get it through their heads that the picks after pick one DONT HAPPEN because we traded half those picks to move up.

Cant have it both ways

In an ideal world we'd see one of Rosen or Mayfield drop to 12 but beyond that i'd say that draft looks pretty good. I probably wouldn't go RB at 96 either.

I honestly wasn’t a big fan of the result. I don’t like Jackson at 12.  I just don’t think he has the size or intelligence to make it in the NFL.  Payne made no sense with the Star signing and other needs. Chark and Ragnow were good, but maybe early on Chark.  I would have liked to see the Georgia RB at 65, then BPA linebacker at 96.

Dolphins stealing Rosen at 11 would be heartbreaking.  It would feel like big Ben all over again.  Broncos hold the keys to the draft.  What they do at 5 will change the course of the first round imo.

Sounds about right. Hopefully, the Bills can trade for that 5 spot and still have their pick of 2 elite QB prospects. That would be nice. I think the Broncos could go either way, in regards to drafting a QB. The Bills can make them a nice offer.
