  1. McDermott loves his d-lineman. I think they'll make a plan. He'll get creative with the d-line and find a way to get them all involved. Or cut Murphy.
  2. ????? Or lower.. You're right. Good news is everyone is in the same boat. Going to need to get creative.
  3. Freed up $8.1m. Time to extend Milano, Dawkins...
  4. Don't really see why a team out of the running would make a claim on him, but quite a few teams ahead of the Bills in the waiver order who could make a claim. Cowboys, Bears, Titans, Rams, Steelers, Texans, Vikings
  5. Dude was a beast in his prime. 5.5 sacks for that horrible Card def, feel like he might be able to get a few more opposite Hughes and only ask for a few plays per drive. That prototypical "situational pass rusher"
  6. Has to go through waivers first. We should 100% put in a claim. One key missing piece of our D is another pass rush threat.
  7. No way. If we won today and looked like we only had a few small holes away from a super bowl run, if say trade away. But with today's performance we need all the assets that we have for next year.
  8. I feel like the interceptions and pick 6 plays are coming for him. He has been so close to picking one off in every game so far this year. Feel like its only a matter of time.
  9. Seriously, we're talking about it being hard and I am the first one to point this out? I actually jumped into this thread to see if this had been brought up. Have to wonder who will be brave enough to bring a few in and throw them on the field. I come to expect this on the field every Pats week...
  10. Hard to not get your hopes up when you see them perform on the field like they did on Sunday and then comments like that. We've been here before and felt some optimism. Definitely trying not to get too high on them, but this team feels a little different than teams in the past.
  11. I was thinking this as well. I understand Tyreek Hill not going on the Exempt list in the off season, but when the dude is out there playing games it's another story. Here's hoping the Commish grows a pair and takes AB out before week 4!
  12. Sure why not? Give up not much and add him to the weapons on offense. As long as we didn't give up a whole lot of be for it.
  13. I agree with most of what you are saying, but a lot of it will be determinate on winning though. You can have the best structure in place with the best leaders, but if at the end of the day you still lose, you'll probably be fine. However, then you lose again, and again, and again. People, especially high level athletes, start to tune out that leadership if the results aren't panning out. So yes, you are correct on many points, but the best structures will fall apart if the results continue to be failure.
  14. That culture also falls apart pretty quickly if the wins do not materialize.
  15. I'm in this boat... I am holding out hope that he is horrible, Gase is the same he was for the Fins, and Le'veon is a shadow of himself. However I feel like the Bills and Jets are on the same trajectory and as long as both QBs progress the Bills/Jets games are going to be tough outs.
  16. I was wondering this myself.... I think last year the Bills App streamed all the preseason games if you were within the market area. Not sure if they'll be doing it again this year? Also the Yahoo "Sports" app is a good try. They usually stream the local games during the regular season, not sure about preseason again...
  17. I think you're on to something there and history does show this. When he was in Carolina they let Josh Norman go (although he doesn't really scream a process kind of guy), but kept the d-line and Lbs intact. I think if they are going to go young and cut the heavy $$$, it'll be with the D-backs.
  18. Got the email for this the other day and wanted to share it on this thread, but couldn't find it. Was finally at a price point where I thought I would give it a try. So far so good!
  19. While I completely get you and worry about it as well... We also have a 6'5 250+ pound MLB and a 6'2 311lbs DT to help muck up the works in the middle of the field.
  20. The last 2 seasons have really been the only 2 seasons where Clowney has played the full season (missed 1 game in 2018) and he had 9 & 9.5 sacks. Not really unrealistic to say that he is starting to peak and could do more. Much like it is not unrealistic to say that he could decide to get lazy after getting paid. Also why not accept a 2nd and Lawson? If he doesn't sign his franchise, you have nothing. This way you have something. Not saying you're wrong and definitely not saying that I'm right, just giving the counter argument.
  21. Or.... Imagine getting Clowney for a mid-late 2nd round pick and a player we probably are just going to lose next year in return for 10+ sacks per year for the next 5+ years and adding him to an already awesome looking (on paper) d-line. Not saying he does one way or another, but have to contemplate amazing upside is there as well. Not to mention, having a respectable pass rush helps all levels on the D.
  22. I'm writing this before scanning the 3+ pages of responses, so I am sorry if this was already mentioned. But maybe this Jason McIntyre guy needs a better understanding of the word "steal." The Jets offered him a contract, he said no because it didn't make enough. They had to up the ante quite a bit and finally he said yes. Stealing would have been getting him in for way under. Just my thoughts.... I also don't really think anyone is going to work out well with Gase. Could be wrong, but feel like that a$$ clown is just destined to be fired as soon as Woody Johnson gets back from his sabbatical in the UK.
