Bills hire Terry Robiskie as WR coach

I think they did about as good as you could do this late in the process.  Highlights: WR coach for the Atlanta Falcons during their best passing years (Julio Jones, Roddy White) and OC for the Titans last year.  Played RB in the pros but has had a lot of experience coaching WR's

Good hire imo!

I'm happy that they got their guy. Whether or not that guy is the right guy remains to be seen, but you can't argue that he doesn't have the experience in the league to understand how to do his job. Also love that he worked with Julio Jones and Roddy White when those two Really blew up.

Solid hire for sure. And (maybe) an insurance policy in case Daboll is a complete disaster. Not saying he will be, but I think about how awful Dennison was, when I wished we canned him mid-season and realized we had no one who could take over the play calling. At least the old guy has some OC experience, too.

Jones/White:  "hey coach, good afternoon"

Robiskie: "yeah, let me know if you need anything"

And doesn’t hurt that we play the AFC South this year given he was an OC there for two years. Familiarity with those defenses/personnel

A name to keep in mind on the FA market:

Terrelle Pryor.  Robiskie son was the WR at OSU when Pryor was the QB there.

I think this offense severely misses a Pryor like talent.

He will be cheaper this year than last year but not sure he will go somewhere there isn’t a proven QB in place

His best season was with Cleveland with no proven QB at the time (think they went through a couple guys that year).

Last year he played with Cousins and it didn't work.

He went to Cleveland because Hue was the only one to give him a real chance to play WR. He earned the right to choose his next stop and instead of taking their long term deal offered with more gtd $, he opted for a one year deal at a place with a QB and passing offense where he would be the focal point. The goal was to get to the next FA where he could command a bigger deal somewhere (same thing Alshon did, but his worked). Pryor’s Redskins experiment failed,  but he may want to keep searching for that right fit. He’s no spring chicken.

Interesting Pryor connection. hmmmmmmmmm

Brian Robiskie only played with Pryor for one season and hated him.

pryor has changed a lot but I don’t see any extra connection there that would advocate Terry wanting him as a WR, beyond his talent.

Maybe this should also say something about the guy so many of you want to give 30 mil a year to

I like the hire.  Need a good balance of young bucks and experienced guys.  The fact that he's been OC and interim HC also helps. I'm really liking their coaching staff decisions more this year.  As for Pryor, he certainly seems to pass the height requirement and could maybe come at a lower price.  Would be an interesting option.  A couple of giant wide receivers for a new QB.

im 56 or abouts . shoppin' walkers on the weekend after the early bird

You are either 56 or not. Stop shading the truth. Admit your age and with pride take your senior discount. And don't bother trying the home hair coloring to hide the gray. Be authentic and be proud. :)

You don’t catch 150+ balls your senior year and have bad hands... his problem was mostly mental, as well as the physical/speed of the game.

He will be fine....
