Leading the Charge

Recommended Posts

Mr. James Lofton

Before he arrived in Buffalo he was already well on his way into the HOF. His 4 years in Buffalo did nothing

but help his cause. He was an intergral part of those superbowl teams. Exciting too watch, unselfish and a

team player. Even is his role as a secondary reciever. I don't know if he has ever been back too Buffalo?

But certainly IMO would not have been out of place at the "legends" dinner. imo

I think Kevin Everett would be great. I was at the game where he broke his back and it was awful. To see him triumphantly lead the charge would be so cool and inspirational.

I was going to say this as well! That would be very special.

You forgot such drought era notables as Ryan Denney, Derek Schouman, Derek Fine, Tim Euhus, Coy Wire, Keith Ellison, and TJ Graham. Oh, and James Hardy.

I forgot he existed.

I think the goal is the most obscure, irrelevant cant-believe-he-was-a-thing drought era Bill.

What's another useless Bill from circa 2008? For example, 3rd round pick DE Chris Ellis from VIrginia Tech. I sincerely have no idea who this person is. Did he ever play? I'm sincerely asking.

Some funny responses.

I think players that once played for the Bills but left via FA who still have great ties to the area and a true fondness for their time in B-Lo would have a great impact. Biscuit Bennett, Shane Conlan, Joe D, Will Wolford, Ron McDole, Reggie McKenzie, etc.

That reminds me! How about Mount Jasper? How could the boys not get psyched up after a charge led by Mount Jasper?

Gibran "CHROISE" Hamden

THE Chroise would be a hot choice, too! Ha!

I'd LOVE to see Chris Berman do it!

That place would go bananas if he came out there and circled the wagons.

Do this for the home opener OBD!

...with Sam Adams "the keg"

A little tangential, but I've always thought the execution for "leading the charge" is silly - the person is not leading anything, they just stand there waving a flag (which to me is not very inspiring). They should put the person on a golf cart and have them lead the team out onto the field that way

This whole thing is silly.

Grown men paying money to watch other grown men bash into each other, all in the name of what color laundry we're/they're wearing.

How tangential do you want to get, because I could keep going....

One 'new' thing that OBD has been doing the last few years is bringing back alumni and legends to help 'lead the charge' out of the tunnel.

What 8 former players would you guys like to see this year?

Doug Flutie is #1 on my list.

question is, would flutie do it?

I say hell no.
