I mean there's only 3 games max left so if we IR someone, does that mean he's gone? According to Sal C, if IR'ed now, the player is done for the year. He has also stated that the limit on Practice Squad elevations are unlimited during the playoffs. Utah John
If Martin is cleared to play and there's no risk of re-injuring his hamstring, will he or Haack be our punter?
John from Riverside
I don’t have a problem with this, but isn’t this the punter that takes super long to get his punts off?

As far as releasing Fournette, he may have asked to go....but Sal points out we did have to release a veteran from PS
LABILLBACKER
Just don't punt like you did against the Jets. That 7 yard shank still haunts me. 1

Should one of the RBs go down again, it would be great to bring Fournette back (if he was interested in coming back).

Confirmed here: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-playoff-rule-change-teams-now-have-unlimited-practice-squad-promotions-per-report/ Just a little note that while the practice squad elevations are now unlimited PER PLAYER, they are not unlimited PER GAME. Per game, still get 2. See Sal tweet before Steelers game about "two elevations" for three spots (needs)

billsfan89
It’s honestly the best move they could make to have an option in case Martin can’t go. I know some were clamoring for the “Punt God” Ariza to come in but while I wouldn’t mind seeing him get a chance in training camp brining in a guy very cold off the street who hasn’t played NFL football since the 2022 preseason wouldn’t be smart. As mediocre as Haack was he’s not tragic and he has played this season most recently punting in December so he isn’t “coming in cold” and he’s also had experience taking snaps and holding kicks with the current long snapper and kicker. KDIGGZ
Haack is so good that the Bills drafted a punter to replace him after 1 season with the team. Ouch! 1

Correct, but Playoffs aren’t a time for experimenting, and he honestly is probably the best available 20 weeks in.
Ralonzo
I ***** hate that guy. I'd almost rather have Bass punt and dress a position player that isn't terrible at his job.

He is a disaster, he managed to lose at least one game and tried like hell to lose a couple others his last season with the Bills. 1

I also could see this as a gameday decision. Both active. Haack holds. Further, in warm up and practices, having coaches punt. A coach on our staff must be sufficient at punting, Shirley.

Very long when punter is hurt running not doing kicking. We have had this happen before with linemen however.
