Bleeding Bills Blue
Just now, SCBills said: So, for the money, is Harty (potentially) our starting slot? 3.7M cap hit isn’t that bad, especially if you subtract 2.5M from that if we cut McKenzie. The speed/route running explosiveness in his highlights is impressive. I literally have never heard of this man until today. Got 2 of 5 WRs on rookie deals, diggs just restructured, and mckenzie is cheap. Assuming no injuries, id cut mckenzie. They save 250k if they cut him by friday so we'll see if they go to that route. ddaryl
If he can play more consistenlty than McKenzie, and trend closer to what Beasley did for us... say 60 to 70 catches a year, then we got a great deal on the contract And he can be a return guy If we get McKenzie type production then we got robbed Edited March 15, 2023 by ddaryl

khlax3
Cutting McKenzie saves 2.9 million with a 3.7 million hit for harty the difference is less than a million. Seems like McKenzie is gone
BillsFanSD
Maybe Hardy replaces both McKenzie and Hines. That would be a solid move all by itself.

RG Murdock
No thanks. No big difference between this guy and McKenzie. McKenzie wasn't used right last year. Good locker room guy. Hopefully this is fake. Beane needs to start stepping up. Good impactful LB's, OT's, and WR's are dropping off the available FA list hourly. Right now, Bills are no better than 3rd place in the AFC East. Hopefully Poyer is retained. Can't lose both TE and GP. No replacements will be as good as those two. Wake up Beane. 1 1 4

gonzo1105
Some of you guys are insufferable man. The cap hit isn't even big. Some of you are stuck in the 90's when it comes to the cap. When McGovern signed 80% of this board was like wow thats too much because they think guards still make 3-4 million a year when the top guys are signing for over 20 and a lot of the top other guys make between 10 and 15. McGovern is like the 21st highest paid guard right now and by the contract is up he'll probably be around 30. Thats cheap if you think he's a good starting guard in the NFL. The Hardy contract is UP TO 13.5 million dollars. Which means he's not guaranteed to get all 13.5 unless he's playing really well. Its less than a 4 million cap hit. Its basically 9.5 million over 2 years or 4.75 million a year with the opportunity to make more. 1 1

He was good for a couple of catches per game but nothing like the production Bease had for the team !! Hind sight is 20/20 .
