Is it wrong that I want Brady to come back to the Pats?  I want Josh to just dominate these guys

It's been nice to turn the tables on Belichick these past few years. Healing for my soul.  Having Brady there would definitely add to it.

I was kind of hoping that we'd make the SB this past season & the Bucs would somehow get there too - one SB win over Brady would erase a lot of demons.

HAHAHA THEY DID IT

Some good Jet WR will be available....

Corey Davis would feast in this offense, and could play outside.

Elijah Moore could be an excellent slot.

Wait and let this play out. No need for over the hill big name, big contract WR additions right now.

Buffalo is playing this right.

Clear cap space, signed a starting OG, have moves still available.

Pounce when the right guy becomes available.

Wilson/ Davis/ Moore/Berrios was a very good young WR core. (Mims stinks)

Rodgers' ego is blowing that up.

And with this the thinking of Diggs playing with Diggs still alive. Just in Buffalo. LMAO

Yeah, has to take them out of OBJ too, right? Unless he were to take much less than his rumoured asking price.

Tremaine did a lot of times, especially prior to last season.

He did- including taking on blockers and stopping the run.

I just think a D with a LB unit of Milano and Bernard would get trucked  all game.

I’d rather have Dodson (or Klein) and Milano.

prove me wrong Bernard.

The slot was far more disappointing than Gabe Davis. So was the OL. So was Knox for a stretch of the season IMO.

Cook and Hines were underutilized. The Charger offense goes through Ekeler.

Buffalo brought in an improvement at OG.

There are mid-level guys who could help improve the slot over Crowder and Mckenzie.

Outside WR is not strong this year.

RocCity - Come on man, you don’t want the Chargers offense.

They scored 23 ppg with Herbert getting criticized for dumping off constantly.

Their OC got fired.

The Panthers offense in the later days with Cam where McCaffrey did everything is not one to copy or the Saints with Kamara at the end of Brees.

Dumping off constantly to running backs.

Too easy for defenses to stop.

We could sign a WR 1B and make other moves if we trade Ed Oliver, extend Daquan Jones and/or cut McKenzie.

I love trading Ed Oliver for a bag of football just to reallocate his cap space.  Love extending Jones.  Cutting McKenzie is absolutely fine by me too.  Hines is better than McKenzie.  None of this kicks the can down the road on cap either.  How much does this save?

Ed Oliver - $10.2

McKenzie - $2.6

Jones - not sure?

The Jets are gonna be a tough out.

The AFC East in general is probably in the running for toughest division.  For once, it's the Patriots who are on the outside looking in.

But that won't make it any easier for the Bills. If we take the division title this year, it will be well-earned.  I think we're still the favorites, but it will come down to some close games w/ both the Jets and Phins.

Jets and Dolphins acting like they are the Rams and have a shot at a SB run.  They are going to be cap strapped for years without a young franchise QB.

I agree. So blowing cap room on all the over the hill/ injured WRs in this thread makes no sense.

How nice would it have been if Buffalo had some cap space when McCaffrey became available?

How nice would it have been if Buffalo had cap space when AJ Brown or Davante Adams became available around the draft?

How about cleaning up space and making a move for Renfrow, or Thielen?

I'd rather have JuJu SS than Hopkins or OBJ at this point in their careers.

McCaffery was less than $1 million dollar hit last year...We ***** up.

I say bring in both Thielen AND Renfrow

I do think they would have re-signed Edmunds if the Bears didn’t back up the the Brinks truck.   Makes one think there was access to, say, 8M on a backloaded contract.

So far we’ve done some housekeeping and took on a 4M cap hit for McGovern.

I feel Edmunds was getting more than what we were willing to pay from someone.  If we could have fit him in, we would have had nothing left to fill other positions with veteran guys.  We have to get a serviceable safety, MLB and hopefully a WR.  All need to be 2nd tier pricing.  If we don’t get these guys via FA, we will need to have a hell of a draft.

We could restructure more contracts/trade.  These have a price tag associated with them and Beane would need to land the right guy(s) at the right prices to do it.

AFC East? Patsies aren’t doing anything that worries me, phins adding to their defense and jets possibly landing the packers offense.  We need to make improvements ourselves, can’t just stand pat with who we have, but don’t see any big moves.

Oh I agree. You did a better job pointing out why Ekeler is a bit overrated by some folks here than I did.

Yes I do want a few more easy completion passes to RBs though. Same for short passes to the slot.

Buffalo has that in Cook and Hines and need to use it.

Mostly was responding to the 'go get Ekeler' crowd.

I think slot WR is the biggest need outside of OL.

Words cannot describe how much I want Elijah Moore on this team. We need to free him from that place.

Oh I agree. I made the same point and made a whole post about how McCaffrey's numbers were easily manageable and gave trade potential. Not much of a response.

Willing to sit back and see how Renfrow/ Corey Davis etc works out. Thielen would be my plan B, but he is ageing quickly.

They decided that their window is now and went for it.

If either win the SB….then we’ll know if it’s actually their time or just a waste of resources and future cap

space.
