Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?

The exorbitant price was talked about yesterday. No way AZ gets another team to absorb all that salary and gets premium picks ala CMC as well. They will have to come down from that or keep a disgruntled player at a high cost.

Situation is what many here have been saying for a while - Rookie GM trying to play hardball with his pie in the sky wishes and other teams just sitting around waiting for him to admit he's being ridiculous. McCaffrey is 26, Hopkins is 30 and coming off an injury and a PED pop, even getting a 3rd for Hopkins would be above market rate for him right now because of his salary. McCaffrey had his contract restructured last season before the trade and his salary was $690,000; Hopkins has a base salary of $19.45M and $14.915M over the next 2 seasons, this is clearly a salary dump - He shouldn't be had for more than a 4th without AZ eating significant money, to think otherwise is ignorant by them.

This is like people selling a house and trying to charge you a premium because they spent money wiring the house for audio and wifi - I don't care about your add-ons, the house value is determined by the comp market, not your feelings.

I say write off the idea he becomes a bill. I figured that about 100 pages ago. time to move on...

what do you expect him to say? He made similar comments about Diggs before he was acquired (If I remember correctly)

He ends with... "that's as far as I can go into it, you know he's on another team"

He could have straight up denied interest, he did not

keep hoping hoping. read it as you may. I read in to this "“Social media is social media, don’t take that too far. … Our name gets thrown into a lot of things, sometimes we’ve done 1% (of what’s been reported).”

keep hoping though, it's all you have at this point. I'll stand on my thoughts. he wont become a bill. OBJ, maybe, maybe not.

Beane literally said last year that we weren't going to be spending / going after any big names and then signed Von to a massive contract. Read into that what you may....

I'm done. I'm not going in to a back and forth with you. I said my piece and I'm sticking to it.

have a nice day.

I wasn't aware this was an argument?   I'm just hoping the Bills acquire DHop because he gives us a better chance to win it all

Not sure Bean’s comments mean anything, as he’s obviously not going to say he’s in on it and get us even more lathered up. He’d lose leverage. Plus it could be considered tampering.

Obviously doesn’t mean he’s in either.

If anything he should be happy.  He was inactive or buried in the depth chart a ton, this gives him the opportunity to prove the Bills wrong.

I don't think the Bills are wrong though.

They selected him two picks ahead of Creed Humphrey. Bills were wrong when it counted :(

Sal just said on WGR, that at the owners meetings KC is being talked about more than anyone else for Hopkins.

If the Bills let Hopkins go to the Chiefs then it's a failure of Bills' front office.

The Bills should be in for any trade that the Chiefs are interested in.

Why can't the Chiefs just f*cking go away?

Imagine how the Raiders, Chargers, and Broncos feel. I still feel like the Chargers are the team that can beat them. At least prevent them from winning the division. They always seem to play close games against them.

Bulldog asked sal if they want a wr or they just want to add Hopkins bc he's available and maybe cheap

Sal said he has heard from multiple people that they are very high on Harty and sherfield

But they aren't going to say no even with obj
