Inigo Montoya
The Aaron Jones shoulder shiv that sent him flying was one thing, but the hit Phillips laid on that poor Green Bay tight end looked like something out of an Incredible Hulk movie. I was half expecting to see the outline of the tight end's body in the turf. To the guys credit he did get up by himself and was able to get off the field on his own. Phillips was bringing the pain last night. His energy is a huge factor in the Bills' D-Line success this year. Simon
I think he was also probably a significant factor in the success GB was having on the ground. I'd guess that he might very well grade out relatively poorly. 1

Heck, even Von was a significant factor in the success of GB running game and even admitted he was just rushing the passer and probably leaving wide open running lanes. 2

The Packers were down 17 and it got later and later in the game and they were saying this has to be when they start passing, yet it never happened until late into the 4th. Funny thing is he actually asked Rodgers why they weren't passing, but wouldn't reveal what Rodhers told him. I'm guessing it was something bad about the WRs or the coach, or both. Yeah, I saw that too and was really wondering what was said. That looked like a very interesting exchange.

Not only is he a great, Canton type player. He’s additionally a highly intelligent Team Leader, speaking- like Allen… on behalf of the NFL, as well as the Bills! I have longed for such players in a Bills’ Uni!

Bad Things
When he was last with the Bills, I remember him always waving his arms around to get the crowd loud and into it. Is he still doing that this year?
PetermansRedemption
I love Jordan Phillips. Loved him during his first stint here, but for the money he got in free agency, they had to let him go. He’s just fun to watch. High energy guy and does the stuff everyone likes to see, big hits and sacks.

ArtVandalay
Love Jordan, but he's clearly a guy that needs to be engaged and whatever the Bills are doing with culture or what i really think it is is the mix of guys on the team here just really engages him and gets him going. He was a dud on Miami and Arizona.

He's all about shooting gaps and chasing and he's excellent when he can just do that. I thought Jones really got pushed around last night too, surprisingly. Run defense is all about want-to and technique and though they were determined to stay in nickel it's fair to say there were still a lot of business decisions going on out there. Milano might have been the only obvious exception. They were clearly expecting a night off in run defense.
GolfandBills
That was one of the worst displays of run defense I’ve seen from the Bills in 20+ years. Hope it was just an anomaly 2

Dr.Sack
I was trying to think of nickname for Philips and all I could think of was Paul Bunyan coz that dude was laying some lumber with those shoulder stunners.

Is he still doing that this year? More than anyone else on the defense, absolutely. He was almost late to get in position and set on at least two separate plays (possibly following official timeouts) because he was busy trying to get the fans fired up. To be fair, the fans were not as reliably loud as they were the first two home games. Lots of people sold their seats to the highest bidders.

dorquemada
I get it that he's not the best technique guy, or even all that disciplined, but he absolutely has to be accounted for, and when he turns it on it doesnt seem that anyone can stop him. It's a toss of the dice every play with him in there but it's not hard to imagine a scenario where he turns in a game changing play

Allen2Moulds
I am not worried about run defense. Your up by 3 scores, right thing to do is to play the pass. Everyone on the planet we're scratching their heads, as to why GB was running. Phillips is one of my favorite players. He absolutely loves being here and it shows. Said he came back, because this was home, this was family for him. Fits Bills culture perfectly.
Rigotz
Very sorry to be the proverbial turd in the punch bowl, but I'd like to see him wrapping up tackles instead of shouldering in.
Allen2Moulds
After almost 20 years of misery as a Bills fan, I love that we have to nit pick, to find something wrong with this team. We played a B minus or C plus game and it was never even close.
JimmyNoodles
Phillips is my favorite guy on D. Love what Beane did with the D-line this year. Hopefully they can stay healthy the rest of the year. If the offense stays consistent, this will be the unit that gets us over the top. Gotta say that GB running so much was because they were scared to pass. Rodgers was going to get killed and they knew it. That was GB's business decision. While I'm not happy about the rushing yards given up, I'm not worried about that yet. It was a blow out game that only our offensive struggles in the second half made look closer than it really was.
