To be honest I thought voice-wise that was the most clear and talkative I've ever heard him after a loss - usually just mostly mono-syllable grunts and mumbles like sling blade.  He would have been better off in this case being unintelligable - than to actually be able to hear the foolish nonsense spewing from his cheating pie hole.  What an epic a-hole

Cheating Unsportsmanlike Pie Hole

That Mac Jones foot to the Family Jewels of the Bears safety #9 reminded me of a couple incidents with Brady

You gotta know now their QB are coached to do that when they slide

So sweet when #9 picked him a couple plays later, only flaw was Bears couldn't convert that drive into points but I do think it fired them up

The hating of fields is really weird. Dude is on a junk offense with a bad oline and his second coaching staff. All things considered, I think he is showing some progress.

people love saying young’s qbs are busts. It’s weird. Except Mac and Zach Wilson. They are garbage. 😈

Yeah, it's really weird...

Lets go re-visit your Allen takes in the draft thread before he even took an NFL snap

Manningcast should just be it's own channel at this point. Like, yes absolutely watch the MNF games...but add TNF and all day and night on Sunday watching 3 games with them. Heck, I'd tune in to watch UFC, MLB, NBA, WWE, Survivor or Desperate Housewives if they were adding their commentary. Friday Night Movie of the Week with the Mannings? I'm in.

Gotta say I never saw the Patriots AND Tom Brady imploding in the same year.  Karma baby and I'm here for it.

Seeing how bad the QB play is going, I think Tom should come back to the AFCE on a Reunion Tour.  There are a few teams here now that would like to address the situation...

Haha, thanks for remembering random internet guy. While I didn’t like the pick (and Allen proved me very wrong), it was about the type of player he was. I might be wrong but if Allen had Fields’ college resume, I would have been totally in.

and once Allen was the starter, find me one post where I called for Allen to be benched or for a new guy to be drafted. I’m all in on young qbs for at least 2 years.

Its always nice to see frauds exposed and the Pats were ripe for that. Zappe was crap and so was the Pats D.  Fields just needed to be ok in this game and he was. had Chicago had a more competent QB  (who didnt throw passes 5 yards out of bounds) they would have run away with this game even faster.

Another qb might not have made some of the scrambles and throws fields made too. He definitely made some bad throws but he also made plays very few qbs do to. It goes both ways.

Belechick is on WEEI getting grilled right now... It's glorious...

I just looked at his postgame presser, and man the Patriots press corps are a bunch of tame housepets

Belichick gives them the most bull####, stonewalling answers and they seldom follow up; they give him either-or questions which make it easy for him to give nondescript replies that could apply to either option;  when they do follow up it's only once and they accept the same non-answer.

That WEEI grillin' got a link or can you hit a few highlights?

Fields is horrible.  How long is his o line supposed to hold their ground when Fields holds on to the ball longer than any other QB in the league?  He is terrible.

Fields had 4 fumbles and 1 INT. Luckily none of the fumbles changed possession. His running ability was nice but he is frustrating to watch.

But he has the physical skills. Could he be improved with better coaching? Fields is closer to the prototype NFL QB than the Zappe and Jones.

I thought Fields played his best game last night, but he is not a good player right now. Hes got a pretty good arm, but lacks touch and his footwork is not good. Hes fast and a good runner, I think he could be a serviceable guy, but right now, not even close

Anytime I've watched him, I just feel like the game is too fast and the defenses are too complex for him.  He lacks accuracy, decisiveness and doesn't seem to see the field well.  He takes way too many sacks (he got sacked NINE TIMES in a game last season) because of his indecisiveness and lack of vision.  There just seems to be a lot wrong with his game.  Being athletic and fast isn't gonna cut it.

That’s why it’s so hard to evaluate these kids making the transition to the pros. In college they were the biggest, fastest kids on the field. Often times playing against competition that wasn’t anywhere close in sheer athleticism.  That’s not the case when they get the NFL. It’s one of the things I find astounding about the development of Josh Allen. Watching him play, he clearly was the biggest, fastest kid all his life. And you can see that he’s still playing like that every time he tucks it and runs. What separates him is that his passing, and mental development have also taken such a major step forward.

Who's he supposed to throw the ball to when he has no one that can get open? The Bears receivers get 0.0 separation on most plays.

Wow...ex Patriot DB Assante Samuel piling on Belichick now...

He's not lying though. He inherited a team with a pretty good defense and a good GM that kept them solid for some years. Tom carried him the rest of the way. Now, just like with Parcells, the game is passing him by.

I just want to see if he has come up with a gameplan that makes the Bills punt not involving 60 mph winds.

It's interesting.

His "clock" is definitely not moving at NFL speed.  He needs to be coached to throw the ball OOB and move on to second or third down.  But that's been said of other young QB (Josh for example) and they learned over time.

The thing that bothered me watching Fields is that he never looks like he's having a good time.   He gets hit and he winces and hauls himself to his feet slowly like he can't take too many more of those.   He doesn't seem to have that "it" factor, that "we're not out of the game, we can do this!" attitude.  But, paradoxically, his WR and RB do go hard for him so I figured he must have something.

Then last night, they're kicking Patriot Butt and taking names, and he's clearly having a great time - cracking a big grin on the sideline at a good D play, laughing.  Then he goes back onto the field, and he still doesn't look like he's having a good time.

I concluded that Fields has the QB equivalent of "Resting B**ch Face" where when he's in the game and focused, he just looks like that.

Pat McAfee has the starting segment of today's show ROASTING one of his guys who was "All in" for the Patriots Beat Down last night:  "OH NO!"

It's the first Couple minutes.  Def. check it out, it's "Chicken Soup" (or maybe Mac-aroni Zappe Zuppa?) for the Bills Fans Soul.

Fields and Cutler both look MISERABLE, even when they are winning.

Something about Chi town.

It's an Ohio State QB thing.
