Buffalo Barbarian
Im wondering how Pats fans feel about Tom winning a Superbowl for another team and do they feel it was Tom Brady all along or Bellicheck?
dave mcbride
I know an inordinate number of Patriot fans, and *every single one of them* is supremely happy with the result tonight. They also expect Belichick to turn it around. I don’t that most of them think in the way that Bills fans want them to. Tommy will always be one of theirs, as will BB. It is what it is. Success
I've seen too many "I feel like we won the SB!" from Pats fans tonight. Kind of weird, but I get the allegiance to TB. Personally, I think it takes some luster off of BB. Brady can clearly do it without him....can he do it without Brady? I doubt he coaches long enough to prove he can. 2

Brand J
It was silly for anyone to question or believe that Belichick deserved more credit than Brady for New England’s 6 Super Bowl wins. Irish Dave
All I know is how embarassing it was to watch the refs kiss Brady's ass all night. Especially the last drive of the First half. It's just so interesting the way flags suddenly come out on the crucial plays in favor of Brady to keep drives alive. All the time. For 20 years. It's like he's the star of this series and it's all about him. Commenators kiss his ass all night too... and have you ever noticed how many close ups they keep showing of him ALL THE TIME??? A phantom holding call to negate Brady's interception? Hmm. Reply shows slight contact within 5 yards. Which is legal, first of all, but that contact could be called on basically EVERY PLAY. Why this one? Hmm. Then later the defender trips and grazes the receiver's foot making him fall while the ball sails 7 feet over his head? Yep that's Pass interfenece. Then KC forces a FG, but....wait, nope, the defender....uhhh...lined up Offside... yea, that's what happened. Replay showed no Offside. But conveniently it resulted in a..... First Down. Then a TD? Hmm. It's always made me so sick I have to turn off the TV when the script has to star Brady. Did you know the NFL is officially designated as an Entertainment company, like WWE? Not a sports league. Rc2catch
I think quite a few New England fans switched over the Tampa a couple months ago. The majority of them are bandwagon fans used to winning every year. They’re of course going to jump ship when the team isn’t winning. 1

RunTheBall
All these supposedly Pats* fans rooting for Tampa just prove what we already knew - NE fans are the biggest bandwagon fans on the planet. If Jim Kelly and Thurman made it clear they hated Buffalo and would either retire or get out any way they could (that last TB restructure) the overwhelmingly majority of Bills fans would hate them on another team and rightly so. That’s exactly what Gronk and TB did, they couldn’t stand NE anymore. As I’ve stated before, I live in NE and there has been ZERO Patriots talk this season except for a few die hards. You wouldn’t even know the team existed in this media market. They are lucky fans weren’t allowed at Gillette they probably wouldn’t have been able to fill it. Hartford Patriots in under 10 years!
Dr.Sack
Brady helped NE win 6 rings, least they could do is appreciate the fact he won another in season #1 at TB. I assume most of them do appreciate Brady.

Success
Patriots fans are loving it today - but they probably won't be if TB goes up there next year and dismantles them in front of the home crowd, as he probably will. And they probably won't love either the entire nation of pundits spending the offseason saying, "See? It was Brady all along. BB is overrated...." Ghost_002!
Yea, like most. They would be upset that their team lost. No different than any other place with fans. Like how would you react if Allen won you four and had a fallen out w the bills organization, left, came back with another team and beat the bills. Edited February 8, 2021 by Ghost_002! C.Biscuit97
I don’t even know why this was ever a thing. A great qb is way more important than a great coach. McDermott became a better coach this year because Allen became a better quarterback. any way or culture just means you have a really good quarterback. That’s why it’s absolutely laughable what Houston has done to their franchise.
May Day 10
I have always maintained that Brady was JAG (although executed gameplans like few can), while the system and coaching set New England over the top. Its pretty clear now that Brady will be hard/impossible to replace. With that said, Tampa Bay is currently an all-star team I would never openly root for another team to win a championship because a former player(s) are on the team. I mean, maybe I would root for them, but not take any satisfaction in it. One of the most pathetic things in the history of sports was when Ray Bourque won the cup with Colorado and brought in back to Boston for an open celebration. I think I would actually have rooted against Brady, because him failing would lend the possibility that the existing framework in-place was teflon
Nextmanup
Let's all try to describe complex things in the simplest black and white terms only please! ALL of New England's success was DIRECTLY attributable to ONLY one of BB or Tom Brady! Not both! Nor in any combination! That's obvious!

He no longer plays for your team, he couldn’t stand NE and got the hell out just like Gronk. The discussion about your current team has been completely absent. One bad season in 20 and you’d think they were the Lions. The fact is there seem to be more Brady fans than Pats* fans, which is about right for frontunners. The few true NE fans I know can’t stand Brady for bailing on NE, they root for the colors not the player.

Take away any HOF HC's HOF QB and they aren't going to look as good. BB is easily one of the best ever. t his record without Brady without mentioning that he inherited a 3-13 Browns team QB's by Bernie Kosar and got them to 11-5 and the playoffs with Vinny Testaverde, Leroy Hoard and Derrick Alexander.....and created the best Defense (points allowed) in the league. It would be that franchises best record for the next 25 years. That's a near miracle. BB certainly can be faulted for not drafting Brady's successor (or maybe keeping Jimmy G).
