Yea I do not think the Pats have pulled away...I truly believe odd makers will be wrong with their predication of the Patriots but that is a story for another time...but No. the Pats have not pulled away, all I can add in that articles defense is. I think it was more for Pats fans..."a circle jerk" if you will then for others to see...but no they didn't pull away.
-
As far as who started the thread my apologizes for thinking it was you. But just because you and the rest of the country feel different than him doesn't mean he could be wrong though. (going back to my orig point as proof). I am a Pats fan too, but I don't have the Pats as the clear cut favorite or the bills. I think it's going to be a dog fight but I couldn't fault anyone who has the pats or the bills as the favorite. The pats are the division champs and split with the Bills...and the BIlls have Josh Allen (enough said there) so I right now do not think either side is wrong.
-
And you pulled it from a pats form and put it on a Bills form..like what exactly would you expect the article to say and what Bills fan would agree with it? Wouldn't it not be as bias if it was a Bills fan writing about their own team? And to what I put in bold. MY point still remains How the media, vegas or the rest of the nfl views your team doesn't matter. The ending results does. A Fan is going to act like a fan..
-
This part doesn't matter. It's the end results that matter. The Bills were favorite last season, been favorite for quite some time since Brady was done in NE. The end results haven't lead up to expectations right? I am sure all coaches and players aren't paying too much attention to outside hype unless it's great bulletin board material. They are all who matter. Fans are just gonna "fan" regardless.

I don't know how long you have been a fan of sports, but the difference in athletes and coaches compared to everyone else is factual. Jim Isreal Jerry Jones Antonio Brown Dante Stallworth Mike Vick They have all done some ***** things and suffered very little to any consequences at all. Mike Vick went to prison came out and just a few season signed another big contact. In baseball... Terry Francona John Farrell all had extra relationships with female journalist and they didn't suffer any repercussions. I can't speak any further about the legal system, you definitely got me there. If you feel there is a "yea but" ok. I think Dana knew should dug herself a hole she wasn't going to get out of legally or otherwise. No hostility for each other. A good convo/debate! Respect! 🫡 -

What would she be suing for? She resigned on her own free will, of course there may have been a deal in place but at the end of the day she was the one who resigned more than likely in fear of what else "The Athletic" was to find on her as they are still investigating her. This is the sports world, completely different from the real world. So if another person honestly wanted use the "male/female dynamic". They better have some hardcore evidence in which she didn't have any. Because her former employer backed her all the way until other employees (both male and female) at The Athletic" put pressure on the company for stricter actions against her (destroying that whole male/female dynamic right there). Plus both parties do not work in the same field. Again 1. this is the sports world. Gender aside. The consequences are completely different for both parties. You could kill a man drunk driving, get out of prison and as long as you can run a route still be able to make a million dollars. We know, no regular joe has that type of leeway. So her "attempting" to sue would not have made it to the court rooms, especially if she had at least one lawyer with some sense. 2. her own employer backed her, they didn't fire her. They covered their own ass already and they are still doing their diligence by looking into her work ethics while she worked at "The athletic" which we all know breaking any code of conduct is fire able. So Russini has no leg to stand on. She already tried that "male/female" dynamic in her statement to the press. That didn't go anywhere. long story short...she f'd up. -

There would not have been any lawsuits. She couldn't sue anyone, she dug her own hole. And the consequences for a journalist compared to an athlete or pro coach are two totally different entities. Even if the genders were reversed. The male journalist would of been canned, but the female coach would of been fine depending on her status as a coach. And she is not losing her livelihood now either. She is fine, she has enough money, she is not getting a divorced (at least not now) and she will go work some place else. More likely independently... -

Her deal (which made her the highest paid journalist in her field) with the Athletic was coming to an end in August. She wasnt going to re-sign with the Athletic whether this happened or not. Plus...I wouldn't be surprised if the Athletic is either paying her the rest of her salary or some portion of that since she agreed to walk away. -

She was getting paid 1 mill in her deal with the athletic(I think per year) and her husband is the CEO of shake shack. She is gonna be fine at the end of the day. And most coaches in this situation wouldn't face any repercussions.
