I wonder if the NFL could play all 16 games on national TV? Couple games on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday? It would do away with Sunday Ticket but would they make just as much?

Baby steps, I’d like to see MNF be a permanent double header. I like having two games on Mondays. If it were up to me it would be 2 MNF, Tuesday night football, Thursday night football, and the usual Sunday 1pm, 4pm and 8pm.

No chance. You can't schedule games like that. It's one of the most violent sports, can;t be playing more than once a week consistently. Quality of product would drop DRASTICALLY.

I'd bet this happens. It will make up for the salary cap for next year. They'll have 2 more national games a week and the TV stations will pay a lot for it.

Well I'm not advocating 2 games per week. But we're seeing this year that you can float around Sunday, give teams at least 6 days between games. Maybe a second bye week too.

I don't know...never thought I would say it, but there i kinda feel like there are almost too many games on now. It kinda takes some of the lustre off the game, to me...but I am not the demographic they are trying to draw in, necessarilly.

How the heck did they not overturn that?

the NFL needs to get new refs or have all their announcing crews attend workshops to better explain these calls.  These calls are either clearly wrong or there’s rules the announcers and the people sitting at home don’t understand.

The only thing I can think of is they ruled Logan Thomas’ forward progress was stopped. But I would have thought they would have informed Ron Rivera of that and that the play isn’t challengeable.

i’m so tired of teams going for it early in games, especially in their own end... not taking the easy chip shot FGs, etc..  i guess it’s the macho thing to do but wait until you have to do that

I have to quote myself here. because once again, take the damn 3 points and move on.  points are hard to come by and it’s still early.  washington was dumb for going for it. and pittsburgh dumb for blowing off the chip shot and a 10-0 lead. just my opinion but it’s constantly happening.

WFT looks to be employing the "vibrating table football" strategy on defense. Players just moving around randomly.

Remember when the tackle would get latched onto the goal posts and just rotate in a circle?  I remember painting uniforms and logos on the figures for my kid brother.  He had every team and I did really good brush work!
