Behindenemylines
It’s been a long week and maybe I’m just cranky, but am I the only one completely sickened by the coverage of Dak Prescott? My lord, the whole thing is being crammed down our throats as if he was the only QB playing this season. Is it my total hatred of the Cowgirls, my complete dislike of Dak and Zeeke and Jones? Tell me I’m not the only one who hates this totally overhyped player and all the BS surrounding him! 2

Kirby Jackson
Glad that you posted this because I was just coming here to post this article about the negotiations. It’s a really interesting read and one that we need to be mindful of if Josh continues to progress like Dak has. https://sports.yahoo.com/cowboys-blew-it-with-dak-prescott-in-2019-thats-why-theres-no-longterm-deal-now-and-why-he-may-exit-later-051415760.html 1

Kirby Jackson
The Dak hate on here is kind of hilarious. We watched him play one game and formed an opinion. A lot of that hate stems from him playing in Dallas. We look so foolish in our criticism. He’s not elite. He’s a top 10ish QB right now. The cost for a young top 10 QB is approaching $40M a year. That’s just what it is. It’s time to accept that. We MAY be (hopefully) looking at a similar problem in a few months.

davefan66
He’s not hot garbage, nor is he an elite QB the sports press seems to make him out to be. I find it funny that “business man” Jeruh is having the screws put to him by not planning this right. Unless this is the plan and Dalton is their QB of the future. (Which I can’t believe he would be).
1st Ammendment NoMas
The NFL as a whole has been nauseating and taking the fun out of the game by injecting agendas and politics. The Redskin debacle is just one more straw. When polls showed less than 25% of the people offended why did they buckle. Why does the minority control the majority and why are we pandering to every asshat that has an opinion. That just gives the athletes more power to assert their own beliefs all over the public. STFU and play the game. That's what you are paid to do. If I ran around my office using my position as a conduit of agenda, they'd ride me out and lock the door behind me. That's what needs to happen to the NFL. Turn off the mic, STFU and play the game before you lose your TV audience too. In a season where I should be the most excited in almost 20 years, I find myself battling to remain interested (in anything other than the Buffalo Bills) Luckily, we've had no loudmouth idiots spouting off on this team, which gives me hope. DCOrange
Not sure why anyone would really be surprised. There's not much else going on in the sports world right now since we're in this no man's land of no games being played but also no real offseason news to talk about. So yeah, a top 10 QB (and specifically, a top 10 QB that fosters a ton of debate) potentially playing on the franchise tag is as close to a big story as there is right now. I'm not really sure why anyone would be all that annoyed; it's pretty easy to just ignore the story if you want to. It's not like there's any real reason to tune into ESPN and accidentally see them discussing Dak right now. The Dak debates are admittedly boring at this point as everything that can be said has been said many many times but I'm not mad at the media for trying to latch onto anything at all that they can talk about right now. No sponsor was stepping in to fill the void left in this situation. That wouldn’t have benefited their brand. “Washington lost FedEx because they refused to change their racist name. We look forward to filling the void left by FedEx as we support the name Redskins.” The juice isn’t worth the squeeze and I know a little something about sponsorships.
