Gugny
I think we can all agree that it's not a fruit. Can't be dairy, can it? Is it a meat???

Gugny
I'd have to lean toward "meat." Poultry to be more specific. Is caviar considered, "fish?" If so ... I think we have our answer.

So, it's a vegetable but not a vegan? Does it matter whether the hen's egg is fertilized or un? Because if the #### hasn't been near the hen house I think there's a difference. For a fried egg, I don’t like it when the outer part is burned and chewy. It takes practice to get the center only a little bit runny without over cooking the outer edge. I'm not talking about the whites in general....that very outer layer that crisps up a bit. When you bite into it with a little bit of yolk and a buttered piece of Rye bread....that outer part is the best.

Dr. Who
An egg is a proto-omelet to the omnivore. In Eastern mythologies it is often the cosmic ur-object from whence the all derives. Faberge turned it into an artifact of bejeweled baroque delight. Some posters here are good eggs, though there are also quite a few rotten ones. The hard-boiled make claims to realism, whilst the sunny-sides are ridiculed for being homers. Neither literalism nor metaphor can approach the infinite semiotic density discovered in traces, analogies, and the menu at Waffle House. In short, the egg is an enigma wrapped in mystery. It is for this reason that the chicken crossed the road.
