Micah Hyde: we would have been ejected for that hit on Brady

Quote: "That's the first thing that came out of my mouth on the sideline: If one of us did that to 12, we wouldn't have been in the game anymore," Hyde told reporters after the game. There's no way. There's no way we would've continued to play in that game."

This isn't the first gripe this year from a Brady opponent calling out the referees. In Week 2, Miami Dolphins linebacker Raekwon McMillan said a referee told him to "stay off Tom" Brady after a legal hit.

Yup.  The NFL is fixed to continue the Cheats dynasty.  I've seen it all and I've seen enough.  From Gronk trying to paralyze Tre' to Jones's dirty hit today, they're just not going to call the Cheats on their cheating.  They may not be taping opponents or deflating footballs anymore, but they continue to cheat with impunity.  ***** them and ***** the NFL.

the players need to keep this up.  Eventually they will embarrass the NFL into properly officiating games.

So if there was a “hold” it should have been called 5 seconds before the hit on Josh. Did anyone even see a hold. So frustrating!!  Typical BS!!

You mean you didn't see the replay???  They always show the replay. Every damn penalty is shown as soon as it happens. Every time, unless it gets the pats out of a jam.

There were at least 2 hits like that on Thursday, no one got ejected.  It's far more rare than the helmet to helmet hits.

Burfict was ejected today because he was throwing punches a week ago and is generally dirty.

and Burfict's hit was less egregious and on a TE, not a QB

Absolutely not. Show us. The flag was thrown after the hit on Josh. Wasn’t until after Josh was down was there a reference to a hold. Also, knocking QB out vs a hold is offsetting? Ridiculous.

You can disagree with the fact that the penalties can offset, but that won't change the rule.

It was a brutal hit.  And the player position doesn't matter.

Brady wouldn’t stand straight until he got clocked like that

The DB held Josh up until the other DB got there.

Eye for an Eye, sorry to be that way, but they should have taken the 15 yards, and killed brady.  May

be we get an offeset penalty?  F####ck joke.

I think we need to make a sacrifice and light up the goat.

I noticed how you didn’t reference the flag thrown at time of hit to Josh but no other flag or replay for a hold. Give it up. Nonsense

It was commented on in the box in real time.

Doesn't matter.  Those penalties offset by rule.  You're wasting too much energy on something that is as its is...

At least agree the flag was thrown at time of Josh’s hit. There was no other “yellow indicator” of a flag BEFORE the hit to Josh. Therefore, it was a phantom friggin flag (as usual). Not to mention the two or three “picked up flags” for face masks and pick play that would have been penalties in any other game.

Hyde is so right, and the whole nation can see it. It is becoming an embarrassment for the NFL.

This.  Props to Hyde for saying this, and it’s warranted... even national media folks are starting to comment on the double standard the Pats are gifted with.

Vontaze Burfict was ejected today for a helmet to helmet hit against the Colts.  I know Burfict has a history of being a dirty player, but you can't enforce a rule for being a dirty player vs not known for being a dirty player.  Rules should be enforced equally, but obviously they are not.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001059810/article/vontaze-burfict-ejected-for-helmettohelmet-hit

"Raiders linebacker Vontaze Burfict was thrown out of Sunday's 31-24 win over the Colts for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Indianapolis tight end Jack Doyle.

At first, the Raiders received just a 15-yard penalty for the play, but Burfict was later ejected after a review of the video."
