Bferra13
The Steelers, for better or worse, lost major talent. Smith-sheister ain't no ab and James Connors sure as hell ain't to leveon bell. Connors is in fact a very average back. But does a good job in the receiving game. Pitts d is middle of the road too. But the Pats do look damn good tonight which is scary.

Wasn't he the reason why everyone keeps saying you don't need to spend money on a RB because you can get them anywhere and that he was the reason why they could let Bell sit out? They needed a middle man because the two refused to talk to each other for an entire season. Yeah, totally under wraps. Tomlin has had more talent at the prime positions than most coaches could dream of and he managed one SB victory on the heels of a veteran laden team built by Cowher. Look, he has had zero losing seasons in 12 years with a lot of personnel turnover. The NfL is a rough business with a lot of a-holes (including roethlisberger, who by many accounts is a big one) and sadists. At the end of the day, he has 2 SB appearances, one SB victory, and a .654 winning percentage. They have had talent, for sure, but so do a lot of teams that fail. Can't be predictable against the Patriots. It all starts there.

People said the same about Joe Torre, and they were wrong because they overestimated tactical acumen over people management skills. Tons of NFL people think Gase is a truly brilliant offensive mind, bit he’s a bad manager of humans. Why is this? I will never understand. His offense last year ranked even worse than the Bills (31). Now he has a top 3 pick at QB, leveon bell, a bunch of good WRs, a rebuilt OL and ... a brilliant offensive mind might squeeze a bit more out of the “turnip”. He also admittedly has nothing to do with the defense so can concentrate completely on the offense! Quote Offense The defense handed the offense the ball three times in the first half off turnovers and the Jets failed to score each time. They had 11 possessions in the game and only one ended with a score. Adam Gase’s debut was a dud. QB Sam Darnold (28 of 41, 175 yards, 1 TD) was under constant pressure, getting sacked four times. The offensive line had no answers for Buffalo’s blitzes. WR Jamison Crowder (14 catches, 99 yards) and RB Le’Veon Bell (17 rushes, 60 yards, 6 catches, 32 yards, 1 TD) were the only bright spots.Grade: F Coaching The offense had no flow after a summer of talking about how creative and explosive it could be and Gase had no solutions. https://nypost.com/2019/09/08/jets-report-card-adam-gases-debut-went-horribly/ Edited September 9, 2019 by YoloinOhio

TheFunPolice
Reading Edelmans "America's Worst Nightmare Tour" stuff makes me think how much fun it must be to get over on everyone time and time again. They gave up on being loved like Peytons teams years ago and embraced the image of heartbreakers and soul crushers. Every good show needs a villian and they are the ultimate villian for most NFL fans By staying together they are giving the young guys a chance to add wins over them to their resumes, which is important to the future of the game. No yeah buts on Allen and Mahomes 10 years from now if they get some Ws over the evil empire!
