Ethan in Cleveland
Perfect fit would be Seattle. Miami makes little sense unless they think Rosen is the answer at QB. That team is devoid of real talent and need a few drafts to rebuild.
Not at the table Karlos
Dolphins have had a good pass rusher for years. Didn’t do them any good.

Cheektowaga Chad
Not sure I understand the move by Miami as they're rebuilding and appear to be tanking Also while a very good player I don't think clowney is a player you build your team around. I see clowney as a finisher or a guy that puts a team over the top or even just into the playoffs

PetermansRedemption
As long as they overpay in both compensation and contract, I am all for this move. Miami will be a tire fire with or without Clowney. 8

The Plastic Cup
Why would Clowney want that? Unless warm weather and low expectations appeals to him.

The Texans with their dysfunctional front office have pretty much polluted the waters, without a bonafide GM and firing the infamous Brian Gaines it is a rudderless ship this year. Why would Miami send resources away to get a guy who doesn’t want to play there? What, a season of going 4-12 is gonna encourage him to sign a long term deal? 2

Reed83HOF
Despite all this, the Dolphins are clearly at the head of the pack of teams trying to land Clowney because they believe their meeting with him went very well and so far they are the only one team that has met with him. Part of that meeting included the Dolphins laying out their vision for what they hope to be in the future. Clowney apparently came into the meeting with apprehension of what the Dolphins are likely to be short-term, in 2019, with a roster that lacks an obvious star quarterback. Lurker
I really hope this happens. Miami is going to suck for the two years they can hold on to him and if he does sign a long-term deal, it will eat up their cap for a long time. You'd think the Fins might have learned a lesson from all their failed FA signing over the past few years...but thank God for Steven Ross!
