and the only way someone starts thaaaat many copy/paste threads is wanting admiration.

eventually the frustrated folks outweighed the appreciation.

Was it you or someone else who came up with the 26CutandPaste moniker?

Think it was boyst.

I wasnt a big fan of his but I wasn’t on the high end of the haters either. Just didn’t think the thread starting was that helpful (the news will make it here either way). Outside of that just thought he was a bit condescending without backing it up without exceptional insight. But heck, I can be guilty of that

“The Wrong Josh” thread was his undoing.  Now I hear he feeds pigeons popcorn at the park a lot.

Not hard to deduce what happened. He was a jackass who acted like a jackass, then took his ball and went home when he was treated like a jackass.

Was there some specific blow up just before he left the forum?  I don't remember that and seem to have missed it.

I did a search for "the wrong Josh" but couldn't find the thread mentioned by J.H.

Yolo has always been solid. But, @ShadyBillsFan has become a mirror image of 26. It’s like they’re one and the same person.

Yup. To much incite and not enough insight

I was one of many.

I typed it so many times

26 CopyPaste is now in my library of autocorrect.

Unnecessary? Hardly.

As stated by others he tried to dish it out and could not handle any criticism due.

IMO he got a lot of praise for being what some call a Twitter Bot.

Was there some big incident prior to his departure?

Fair enough. I suppose I saw some of that but ignored as much as I could. I don’t like the unnecessary gutter brawls. Be civil, courteous and move on. It’s OK, and even GOOD, to disagree, otherwise it would be boring and you’d never learn anything.

There are only a few things I’ll take a very strong stand on, and when it comes up I’ll say my piece, but eventually move along. Zero gained by 10 pages of back and forth nonsense.

Agreed. I have had a few arguments with a number of people but I try not to take it personal.

Arguing with lots of people and whining to the mods was par for the course for him; something must have happened to push him out the door for good.

It’s not just what you do, but how you do it.

Important life lesson for all of us. Most people get it usually, some seem oblivious.

I can only speculate that the mods told him to grow a backbone and suck it up.

He didn’t like it and took his ? and left

This is the reason @CountryCletus doesn’t show his face ‘round these parts. @Gugny and @Cripple Creek will attest to it. #sidewalk

I’ve been on Bills message boards for 15 years.  He is #1 of any consistent poster where he could not handle if someone didn’t agree with him.  He would lose his mind and just snarky response after snarky response.

Look at this “The Wrong Josh” thread.

He had to make sure anyone that said the Bills offensive line was worse than the Cards got a reply from him.

He mostly posted articles...didn’t really comment on them unless he disagreed with you.  He was so obsessed with him being right that when you would argue semantics to death and then if you just straight up found something he posted in error...he wouldn’t respond.  You go to that same post, you’ll see the “edited by 26Corner” a little later.

You had to either agree with him or he literally hated you.

His undoing with me, where I think I was blocked is when he mocked me for my posts when I kept saying Dareus and Glenn would be traded.  It didn’t happen right away and he would bring that up all the time in snarky responses.  Then the trades happened....

Yea- I tend to come here with a few self guidelines. I know a fair bit but plenty here can talk above my level and I’ll eagerly admit to learning something. I’m probably about average on actual in depth bills knowledge these days as I’m less connected to buffalo personally lately.. I’m ok with X and Os but like to think that wide angle discussions on league trends and things that are broad based Nfl I’ll dig in a little more on my takes.

That dude would go down with the ship and be condescending about it even on things that were clearly not in his wheelhouse. Such is life. We all unreasonably seek validation in our own kooky ways I suppose. Hopefully he’s on to a version that’s better.

I personally think it may be something else. I remember PMing him one day and I asked...."hey man, how they hanging"? His response was " twice the length of my penis now, thanks for asking".  Maybe that had something to do with it?

Should have added that in @Johnny Hammersticks saggy ball thread maybe.

Scenario.

If you do not like a particular poster do you

Never post in that persons threads?

Cuz that was COPYPASTE

He’d create a new thread on the same player / topic and alter the title so that it “appeared” to be different so it wouldn’t be locked or merged.

If he wasn't receiving monetary compensation for this sort of thing, why in the world would he do that?

Because he had some pathological need to be the author of most threads at this forum?  Or what exactly?

Doesn't make sense.

I also always wondered his age and life situation.  He clearly suggested that he was more "old" than "young" in a lot of his posts.  Yet he didn't come across as old enough to be retired.  I always assumed he was home on permanent disability or some such and spent all his time in front of a computer, alone.  No way he had a family.  Spent too much time here for that.

For those not in his fan club

the assumption was close to that.

Was he retired, and or home bound?

Often I think I spend too much time here

How does someone like 26Corner or YOLO get so many links to paste on the Bills and football topics? Are they getting twitter feeds that they then post? Just curious? With 26Corner it seemed as if it was almost a 24 hr. operation. 26Corner at times could be stubborn and irascible but I did appreciate his posting the links. If he was as congenial as his nemesis, YOLO, there would have been less hostility with the other members. As the old wise cooking fellow @Augie stated: It is not what you do but how you do it.

He wanted to be the first to 100k.  That's the only thing I can think of.

Yes, we used to have  a thread dedicated to this, but I couldn't find it.

In the thread, I said "Don't worry, he'll be back."

Well, the pre-season is upon us, and he is not back.  It looks like he isn't coming back.

He's still over at the Sabres section of HFboards, so he is not dead.

Any theories as to his disappearance?  I find it really interesting.

He went from quite literally dedicating his life to posting on this forum to nothing.

What happened?

it is is interesting, but he was a dick, so dont care.
