Michael Roberts isn't joining the Patriots after all.

One day after Detroit traded the tight end to New England on Thursday in exchange for a conditional seventh-round pick in 2020, the pact has been voided.

Roberts was reverted to the Lions' roster and was subsequently waived, the team confirmed Friday.

He probably had discussion with P*ts that is he was waived he would likely be cut and would resign with them.

Only risk if Lions cut him another team is ahead of them in waiver wire.

All teams should have those discussions with players they trade with.

So basically he couldn’t run a lap in their new football sized sand box. The Patriots build a big sand box for player to train in and 10 teams will probably copy it in a month.

Please let there be tampering going on here.

In in the end it won’t matter, but I just like to see the Pats involved in as much dirty stuff as possible.

They’ll probably be given a comp pick for having the trade fall through.

It's 9D chess from Hoodie. He never wanted Roberts. He made the trade, then rescinded it to make it look like something went wrong, knowing he would be cut. Now another AFCE team is going to pick him up on wavers since the pats wanted him and he's going to be terrible.

Also this is sarcasm in case anyone needed it spelled out for them.

Football on big sand box.  That worked out well for Robert Edwards

Yup, a first rounder.......

I wonder sometimes if a team would ever have someone in and during a physical if they see something small that they will tell that player we are going to fail your physical, and if your team cuts you, we will sign you immediately. I wonder if the Lions would have the ability to dispute the other teams failed physical? So if the Pats fail a guys physical that they just traded for, the Lions could come back and dispute the report and have him checked out by a third party?

You would think the NFL would have a third party doctor working for them to do the physicals for deals instead of the teams doctors.

He's been trying to hide the fact that he has a wooden leg. But team doctor's are starting to suspect...
