Man, I would love to see Dougie boy get fired this off-season.  That would be fantastic.

Agreed.

Here’s hoping that the Jags get destroyed this Sunday, and the rest of the season for that matter. I wanna see Doug go down in flames.

No surprise. He's terrible.

They have all the pieces to be successful and he's been letting them down for the past 3 years.

Shocking he got as much time as he did.

He is beyond terrible.  A basic pass seems very difficult for him.  His ball so many times looks like it's going through a hurricane when it's just perfectly normal conditions.

What if the hurricane was at his back?  Wouldn't he then have "a lot of zip," to his passes ... and be more like Josh Allen?

At some point in the second half I was worrying the Jags would get going, then I watch the replay of his pass and it's as bad a wounded duck ? as I've ever seen in the NFL or NCAA.

I was immediately less concerned about them winning.

Doubt it happens though. Marrone had that team in the afc championship game last year.

Remember, this is the "fire them all" board, every incomplete pass, every loss, every season! Me, I would keep him.

I think it's almost certain even though there was a report of a vote of confidence in him before the game yesterday. If he doesn't get fired then Coughlin will have to take a large portion of the blame and he ain't gonna do it regardless of whose actual fault this mess is.

I have to imagine it's hard to dump a guy who got you one game away from the SB just one year ago.

You may be right. But this is a pretty big collapse. And I wouldn't have said what I did if Hackett wasn't just fired. Clearly scapegoatted. So I think Coughlin will say these weren't my guys. Lot of people thought Marrone was gone before last year. Scottenheimer got fired after a 14-2 season or something like that.

Apparently some of the Bills old front office people must have followed St. Doug because the jump to sign Bortles after a decent year has Bills old front office move stamped all over it !! Now they will have to pay him like the Bills did Fitz when they released him because you don't pay a back up that kind of cash to sit the bench !!

Great name for a QB failure.

Best since The Much Maligned Mark Malone

Maybe Bortles can work on NFL Matchup and explain how to throw interceptions and throw uncatchable ducks to guys 5 yards away.

that's a cast of dozens of QBs still collecting a paycheck

I have no idea why they resigned Bortles.  Put any mediocre QB on that team and they would be in playoff contention.  I haven't seen much of Bortles play besides the two games vs the Bills, but that is honestly all you need to see.  Guy couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat

Why did they keep him?  Did Marrone prefer him?  It seems unlikely, since one of the reasons he left the Bills was because EJ Manuel was being forced down his throat.  you mean to tell me  that he preferred Blake friggin Bortles going into the season?!
