NFL SiriusXM claims Buffalo did not make playoffs last season!

I am so angry. I was listening to the  Blitz with Bruce Murray and Brady Quinn on Wednesday on SiriusXM NFL. They were evalauating the Chargers and saying they were not that good of a team, despite their 9-7 record, since they failed to beat a single playoff team last season. And their wins only came against less competititve non-playoff teams.

He (either Murray or Quinn...not sure who) said it twice. He went over every game they played last season, in order, and said:

"The Chargers then beat Buffalo, Dallas, Cleveland, and Washingtom, all non-playoff teams."

Hello? When is Buffalo going to get the respect it deserves for being a solid playoff team last year? LA's win last year against us was a quality win against a powerful team. We were one of the top 12 teams last year. Period.

Thanks for the insult.

Usuallly those guys are relatively accurate so surprising as I listened to part of that show, but I’ll take you’re word on the subject.  Surprised they actually said the Bills didn’t make the playoffs.  I’m not saying they are perfect, but Brady is usually accurate.

If you talk all day, every day, you’re going to mess up sometimes. I’d trade that mess up for a certain PI call in London....

I think I should be over that by now....

We beat the Falcons and Chiefs.

We went 3-1 against the AFC West which was considered the best division going into the season and 2-2 against the NFC South which was the best division in the league last year.

Typical uneducated reporting.

They were talking about the Chargers, not the Bills.  The hub-bub comes in them saying the Chargers didn't beat any playoff teams, even listing the Bills as a win, suggesting they forgot the Bills were actually a Wild Card team.

Where does he live?

Lets drag some of his furniture out of his house, light it on fire and jump on it.

That'll teach em.

Yeah, but then he'll complain his furnature wasn't even burned by fans of a playoff team... ?

The things is it was kind of a huge story that the longest playoff drought team ended its streak last year, as well in spectacular fashion with the Bengals win helping them get in and the whole Dalton foundation/ bills mafia thing.

Bills followers or not the story made the national news (albeit as a result of former buffalonians in the national media)...so how do these guys, covering the NFL daily, just not remember that?

Not saying they are wrong, but that doesn't make you right.  As much as I love this team, they were NOT a solid playoff team last year.  They backed into the playoffs with outside help and a little bit of good luck.

The Bills are often an afterthought, being in a small market has some distinct disadvantages less exposure for one and makes it harder being a fan because allot of moves are often overlooked or under the radar. To their defense the Bills did back into the playoffs last year and I believe there were other teams that were playing better football that didn't make the playoffs like the Chargers for one.

That being said the Bills broke the drought and made it to the dance for the first time in a long time. They have a bright future ahead of them especially if Allen can be a good QB and that offense can start scoring points, I feel the defense may have even improved this year up front and in the LB core may take a few weeks to put it all together, but that group can be special.

Lol getting angry over nothing... Stop living in the past. Stop getting angry over random people.

Also a solid playoff team would have scored a TD. So you are taking your side to the extreme just like the guy you are mad it did.

If the Chargers were BETTER they would have made the playoffs - both teams had games which they screwed up but the rules were the same for both teams.

Oh hear is the back of an ass for your "back into playoffs" post.

Oh and "NFL SiriusXM" claimed nothing.  Two talking heads were neglectant on their show and probably will do a 5 second correction nobody will notice later.

F all that backing into the playoffs talk. We made it to playoffs point blank We played the Jags tough and should have won. Jacksonville who made it to AFC championship game who only scored 10 pts against us then put up 45 points vs the Steelers and won.

I don't never hear any talk about about those 7-9 Carolinas Panthers and Seattle Seahawks backing in to the playoffs just because they won the division.

Obviously the Ravens laid a egg with EVERYTHING on the line but the Bill's are a forgotten team 6.5 months later. #FAKENEWS

They may have been referring to the previous years playoff teams

Not familiar with this show but that sounds pretty lousy.  At the same time though be honest, to non Bills fans our playoff run was pretty unmemorable.  Only scored 3 points and were out as fast as we got in.

The team should use this sorta thing as motivation though..

Why doesn't anyone say the Jets backed into a playoff berth in 2004?

Without looking, who else made the playoffs that year? I haven’t a clue! Was that then Ravens SB year?

Did the Jets take a wildcard? Why would any other fan base talk about a wildcard appearance 14 years ago? The Bills/Dalton moment was great, why does anyone think it needs validation from outsiders?

The guy misspoke, whoooooppppppeeeee.

2004 was the year of the infamous Steelers loss and very analogous to the 2017 Ravens. It was win-and-in for the Bills versus the Steelers backups. We gifted the Jets a wild card that year. (And even if we had won, there still would have probably been a  13 year playoff drought.)

Well, the wild card game is actually not the playoffs.

It is a game for two teams to try and get into the playoffs. The teams that have that week off are playoff teams.

Team that play in the wild card are not in the playoffs until they win the wild card game

I will show myself out.

You should show yourself out cause don't know what they help u are talking about.

The Wild card is the 1st week of the playoffs. To prove my point all division winners make playoffs right?

Well in the wild card games the 3rd seed(Division winner) plays the 6th seed. That my friend is a playoff game. If the 6th wins, guess what he moves in the playoffs. Please show me were the NFL wildcard is not considered a playoff game.

I'll show myself out now
