CommonCents
This year feels different so my brother, mother, and nephew are coming over and we are doing a mini draft party. We talked about it this weekend and if the fireworks do go down we want to be together for it. It's an 8 o'clock start so taking the 27th off is a must. Now for some food ideas!
EmotionallyUnstable
Great question. It is a long event. Are you planning to eat ahead of time, snack throughout or both? My family/friends usually do an earlier message followed with lots of football related apps. Although, this year a number of people in the area spoke of meeting up, possibly at Santoras on Transit. We too are getting together (with our Bills group in New Orleans). The draft will be going on at the same time as Pelicans/Blazers game 6 so we will have 2 TVs working and crawfish boiling. Friday we will be going to the Zurich Classic during the day and a bar after for rounds 2 & 3. In in terms of food, I think that you want to go on the easy side with the draft being later. You aren’t going to want to be stuck with a messy kitchen at 10:30 at night. I’d probably go with a couple of dips and maybe pulled pork or something? It’s minimal work and will allow you to focus on the draft.

corta765
We started doing a party in 2015 at my brother in laws with just my wife and I. It was funny because the girls were like when do we draft in the 1st round about half way through and we both looked at the same time and said "we don't we traded it last year for Sammy". Their faces were priceless. Anyway same place but more excitement and if we get Rosen/Darnold I am probably not remembering the rest of the night due to adult beverages. Oh pizza and wings is a must with bison dip and chips. Edited April 17, 2018 by corta765
co_springs_billsfan
I like the idea of a nice super bowl style spread, but we are probably having a baby in the next week so just watching the draft will be an accomplishment this year

All my favorite dishes are heavy and don't mesh well with a night time event. Sliders and dips sounds like a good gamplan.

BuffaloHokie13
Quote Recipe for a QB I'm incredibly against breaded wings, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't consider breading some wings with Flutie Flakes for this draft. Granted, I didn't consider it for very long, but it crossed my mind...

CajunBillsBacker
Draft day 2017 I was stuck at work and had to listen to most of it on the radio. When the Bills picked up an extra first rounder for this year, I made it a point to make sure I was off this year. So I took a weeks vacation next week for no other reason than to enjoy the draft like the good old days. I’ll be stuck on the couch for three days with a draft book or two, and my laptop. Also like Kirby, watching the Pels game 6 if it goes that far. Haven’t decided on food yet. I’m leaning towards pizza and wings because I’m a bit burned out on crawfish after Easter Sunday. Not at the table Karlos
Used to have a party with 20-30 people. At least 15 were just casual football fans just there for the party. They would get bored halfway thru and start asking when the game starts then stand in a group in front of the tv. It was terrible, never again. Now it's just 3-4 people that study college football all year and have notebooks full of their own scouting reports, some wings, and a few 30s.
