For sure.

Teams havent even finished vetting this QB class yet. There are Still more pro days, and visits to team facilities + private workouts haven't happened yet.

I would guess most teams teams aren't comfortable enough to sell the farm for a QB in this draft yet. Had they waited, they probably could have gotten a better offer like you said.

That's a good point and maybe the Colts thought we're getting good value now and should pull the trigger so we have over a month to plan on what to do at #6.

For the record, this thread is being made as a result of the anger that posters have been saying since this morning in the Jets trade thread.  Therefore, if the season is now truly lost and we have no shot at Rosen or Darnold, I am asking the question.

Coach McDermott:

"But you can't hold a whole message board responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals.

For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole message board system?

And if the whole message board system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our 'Social Media" institutions in general?

I put it to you, Buffalo Bills Detective - isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to us, but we're not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America. Gentlemen!

[Leads the TSW posters out of the thread, all humming the Star-Spangled Banner]

Yeah, let's fire a guy because of something some other guy did.  Hey, my cousin got a DUI.  I'm going to take some classes.

I wonder which guy the Bills want.  Remember 1983.  Kelly was taken at 14, and Marino was at the end of the first round.  Elway was the first pick, then Blackledge, then Kelly, Eason, Ken O'Brien and finally Marino.

The Bills must have a guy they want above all the others.  If it's Darnold, they may have to trade with the Browns to get #1.  I think Rosen is ranked 2nd, Allen 3rd, and Mayfield 4th.  But who knows?  It only matters who the Bills want, not what the others want.  They have sufficient picks to do whatever they want.

Not proud at all.  It just shows how fickle this fanbase can be at times.  Last week, when they got a 1st for Cordy, Beane's a genius.  Today, when the Jets get the 3rd pick, he's "asleep at the wheel."

Apparently your vote is carrying it's weight.

I think McBeane are gone in 2 years because of this Jets trade.  Instead of being here for 15 years.

Just a hunch...

Any reason why or just because?

Bills Detective was trolling/poking fun at some of the wild over reactions and extreme and absurd hot takes we have seen over the past couple hours.  What's funnier is that there are 6 nincompoops who agreed with his troll job.

For any coach/GM team to last in this league, they need a franchise QB pretty quickly after they arrive.  It's not McCarron...

This post has it all:

- HOT TAEKS

- Polls so unscientific they can best be described as “potato”

- Inapporiate use of the keyword function

- LAMP repetitiveness

Masterfully done, OP, really great work.

Sounds like T-Bomb voted "yes"!

I did yes, but that was because there was only 1 yes vote at the time and I wanted to keep enjoying this thread.

I don't think any coach/GM should get less than 3 years min.

However, this trade really hurts the current FO's prospects of longevity.

I vote for newer posters not being able to start threads.

I don't mind the trade as much as I mind that the Jets gave up way too much to move up three spots.   If Buffalo does decide to trade up, it will likely cost them a lot more to do it now.

One way to hurt a division rival I suppose...

Um, no.  IMHO, a non-sensical question.  You're not gonna be able to make every deal, and it takes a willing dance partner.  McBeane have done a phenomenal job so far, and I'm sure they have something up their sleeve.  Maybe the Colts saw the Bills moves and decided to help the much more woeful Jets.  I think that's part of ti, which will make the deals going forward tougher for McBeane to make.
