The optics on this are horrible, it's more than likely more true than not true, and after the Watson fiasco, there's just no way this blows over. Admitting to having sex with someone is not inherently illegal, neither is recommending someone get tested after having had sex (consensual or not) with multiple people. And the players too - potential Super Bowl year and the press conferences will be about the potential rapist. Least we can do is put him on the exempt list and ban him from training with the team until the decision is made by the DA but that should have been done, at the very latest, as part of the PR statement.
