Bills can clinch Division on Saturday

DE Bills Fan

Recommended Posts

If the Bills beat the Broncos next Saturday, they clinch their first division title in 25 years by virtue of a better record in common games (10-4 vs 9-5). This assumes that the Bills would lose their last two games and the dolphins win their last three games. That would make both teams 11-5, 4-2 in the division snd 1-1 head to head. All the bills need to do is win one of their last three games and they are in no matter what Miami does.

No, but a good question.  They have 8 wins so if they win the next 3 and we lose the last 3, we are 10-6, and they are 11-5.  Not worried.  We are now 5-3 against winning teams.  The Steelers are 4-1.  We’ll beat the Broncos and Pats.  The Dolphins depends on do we need to win.  I certainly hope we play everyone into the second half regardless as we’re not getting a bye.

Right. You said no but then agreed with what I said.

For dolphins to win the division, the dolphins would need to win out and the bills lose out. That's the only way.

Which means the race is over, because that is less than 1% to happen.

One thing that has gone unnoticed with today's win -   *NE now officially cannot win the AFC East this year*

With Buffalo winning today and taking their record to 10-3, the worst they can finish is 10-6...the Patriots already have 7 losses.

Not necessarily. If a major COVID incident occurs the NFL can add 8th team to playoffs and with Christmas coming it is likely.

The Broncos have a respectable team. Vic Fangio is an old school coach who gets his players to respect the game and play hard. Their offense isn’t the best, but they can control the clock and make some big plays. I think the Bills can guarantee themselves a win as long as they start off 7-0.

So Steeler Nation is running Ebron out of town? Fine. C’mon over, Eric!

They played KC tough in KC. This won't be an easy game. Especially playing there on a short week.

um.. check your schedule..

I remember some guy, IQ not withstanding, claiming the Bills would be 9-7 if they were lucky.

WhereTF is he? 😲 Geez.. I hope he’s ok... 🤔🤣

Denver is the classic trap game. The type of game that the Bills would take their foot off the pedal. I have faith this team won't do that.

With Allen's mindset before the season started, I don't see us letting up on anyone, except maybe the Dolphins. But even then, Tua takes one hard shot on a cold windy day, his game will be gone

Definitely. The Bills are the better team but playing in Denver is never easy. Also good teams can slip up against bad teams. Look at NO yesterday as an example. Denver isn't a total ****show (Jets) either. I am just hoping the Bills don't have a letdown. Beating Pitt in primetime was huge. It was probably their biggest regular season win since the Kelly days given the quality of the opponent and importance of the game. With the win the #2 seed is in play for Buffalo so maybe that helps them avoid a letdown.

I see this...and ESPN listing the Bills chances of winning the division as 99% and my immediate thought is: Wow, this opens the door for the most Bills-y season ever.  I know this team is different....but old mentalities die hard.

Not going to happen, but either way the poster said the Pats can't win the AFC East now. Which is notable and 100% true.

First of all, I think trap game is very cliche and really doesn't exist.

However, if it did exist, the Bills are playing for a possible second seed which means two games at their stadium if they win their first.

The Bills have a lot to play for in these last three games.

I’m getting tired of all these prime time games.. I guess when you have a good team though that’s what you expect.. I prefer Sunday games @ 1PM. But I’m sure the Pegula’s are loving it..

It is just too bad that there are no fans in the stadium to savor this special season.

Are you a season ticket holder? Wait until next year when fans can go to games. Bills fans better get used to leaving the stadium around midnight. Bills will be getting a lot of primetime games next year and some of those will be at home.

Nope.. I live in Cortland.. I’m about 3 hours away from Buffalo.. I try to attend a few games every year but lately I’ve been unable to go.. Prime time games are great for the franchise though.. More money, more coverage and more exposure, which is good for the Pegula’s and the Bills.. I’ll just have to get used to missing out on an hour or two of sleep every Sunday/Monday night. 😉

If the Bills win then its worth it. On the flip side it sucks if they don't.
