Bangarang
Maybe I missed it but why did he play? I thought Spain has been rock solid at LG so I’m not sure why the change was made. Winters is bad and got flagged a few times so this change really confuses me.

JMF2006
Yeah Aaron Donald owned him like he does every lineman. He has played pretty good I would prefer Feliciano but he is hurt.

I felt like there were a lot of plays the guards or Mitch were put on an island against him.

I’ll admit that I don’t spend a lot time watching blocking assignments, but today I spent more than usual. Malazan
I mentioned it in the game thread, but it's not even him getting owned by Donald...it's the penalties. The guy has always been a penalty machine. Feliciano can't come back soon enough.

I'd be interested to get confirmation if that's true or not, would say a lot about Ford as a guard.

BrotherChazz
The Bills wanted to see Ford at LG because Spain has trouble pulling. They are looking at options for when Feliciano comes back. That’s the only reason Winters played.
Ethan in Cleveland
I was happy with them giving Winters a shot. At this point I think they got it right in the beginning . Williams is servicable at RT and Spain/Ford are probably the best guard combo.
Rocky Landing
Yes, Donald owned Winters for much of this game. But, it should not go unnoticed that when Joseph-Day went down, Donald's production went down as well. That D-line is built around Donald.

Think he was more benched. According to the BN reporters, Spain was great, but if you asked Joe B, he'd say I told you so. My guess is they wanted to try Ford at LG to if he can play there so when Feleciano comes back, he'll go back to his old position at RG. The other option would be if Ford didn't play well on the left side would be to put Feliciano there and move Ford back to RG where he played most of the past two weeks.
