Kirby Jackson
Eh, I’m not too worried about that nonsense. It’s a popularity contest. The Bills have a few guys that are in the “real” top 100 players. They don’t have a bunch of guys in the top 30 but their talent is ascending.

It is unfair for sure. Micah Hyde is a seriously good player. It is almost like a clique as far as voting. If the Bills make the playoffs then he gets consideration. Opponents sure as heck know who he is.

I agree that the Bills have guys that could be in there. It’s only something like 10% of the league that votes though so it isn’t indicative of everyone. As an example if 22% of the AFC West votes and 6% of the AFC East the guys out West are more likely to be selected because the players are more familiar with them. EDIT: 1,098 players submitted ballots this year. That’s way higher than in previous years (65% of the league). The Good Morning Football crew have been giving a lot of off season credit to Beane and have some pretty high praise for the team in general. They love Beane, McDermott, Allen, the free agent additions, and the draft picks. Pretty much once a week you can bet on the Bills receiving some high praise from the Good Morning Football crew. Schrager absolutely loved Beane’s “Don’t talk about Buffalo” press conference. Edited July 29, 2019 by Bills2ref

Yes, and a LOT is an understatement. Regardless of their success ( and the fact that most football fans despise them outside of Boston) it is the NFL network. There are 31 other teams in the league and their focus on that one team is obsessive. Besides, their collective opinion is always something like “ event or injury X doesn’t matter, because we’ll its the Patriots” and the HC ( and by extension the players) are notoriously boring and mundane in interviews. So what’s to discuss ? Edited July 29, 2019 by Boatdrinks

Oh, and news flash -- a team that has been to 3 straight Super Bowls and won 3 of the last 5 is going to be the primary feature most of the time.
