What is the size of Khaleesi’s army now? It seems so small. I don’t know how they stand a chance against Cersei. 

 

Obviously, the characters fates are determined by the writers, but boy did Khaleesi make a mistake. She should have taken her army straight to kings landing before helping the north.

Dany only had one dragon and she came to her senses and retreated after Drogon was almost hit with the  mass produced dragon killing machines. 

 

Euron is nuts.  They make that crystal clear in the books how twisted he is.  I wish the series introduced him earlier so we could learn to despise him as much as Ramsey.

We now know that Bran told Tyrion everything during their conversation two episodes ago...they said "around 8" people know the truth -- Dany, Jon, Bran, Sansa, Arya, Tyrion, Varys, Sam...that's it, right?

I don't think Brann told Tyrion about Jon, Sansa told Tyrion

 

And we did see Sansa's reaction => telling Tyrion who she knew would confide in Varys.

I thought of that but every ship has one so the ships in the outer edge would get a good angle ...   in general  - IF you use logic.   We've seen logic ignored too often.

 

Cersei could have attacked Dany and small contingent, she could have blown Tryion apart with a ballista 

 

What got my attention in the opening - 

It looks as if only the Lion survives.

So many things to ponder on how the show will end, and, at this moment, I can't imagine an ending that would leave me satisfied.  Maybe it's best to just "burn them all..."?

 

That said, there is one very important (to me at least) incident that happened in the show, and it certainly seemed it was done for a reason, that has to come into play before it ends: in the scene at the Tower of Joy, Bran calling out after his father who reacted to it, and Bran saying "he heard me."  Will there be a point where he tries to change recent history?  If not, what was the point of that scene?  

 

I think I better temper my expectations for these last two episodes...

It seems like they are telegraphing Jon/Aegon''s demise a bit too much, which makes me think him prevailing might be a/the big surprise.

 

Basically going down an identical path as Ned (choosing unbending honor instead of survival/power/love), booting his direwolf, "final-seeming" goodbyes to Tormund and Sam, heading south to King's landing as a Stark.

I think Bran’s role is done. When he said he mostly lives in the past, just seems that he is fading into the background. Doubt he has any large role in the Kings Landing events.

 

I’m worried about Arya surviving now that she’s left the north for good.

they have worked themselves into a corner of 90 possible plot twists, not intentionally, so they'll do whatever no matter how it bends any sense of science or fantasy

I don't think Jon ever sits on the Iron Throne.  I'll stick to my belief that he is already "dead" but just serving a purpose to get a rightful ruler in place.  I don't think he currently knows who that ruler is, but it won't wind up being Dany.

I completely agree with this assessment, but I do think Dany takes it.

 

Jon will fulfill his role with some sort of sacrifice that brings her back down to earth with perspective. 

 

Who else could possibly sit on the throne? Sansa/Tyrion possibly, but Sansa as lady of Winterfell seems more appropriate.

I really hope Sansa doesn't end up as the "last man standing" and hold all the power at the end.  She is probably my least favorite "main" character throughout the books and the show.  Her whole transition from "I like songs" to some sort of ruler was hastily done, was forced and doesn't make a lot of sense.  When Arya says that Sansa is the smartest person she knows or something, I was like "wut?".  Like what smart thing has she done or concocted in the entire series?  She is crafted as one of the "dumbest" characters who has trained only to be a "Lady" as intently as Arya has trained to fight/kill.  
I know she has 'been through a lot", and got a few lessons on being a sneak from Littlefinger, but I think its lazy to suggest she is suddenly a stone-cold ruler at this point.

That wasn't that 'smart' though.  If she had told Snow up front about it, like she should have, he would have probably said "hell yes, tell them to come, do it yesterday".... and probably formed a different battle plan that could have saved 1000s of lives.

Nothing about how Rheagal got killed quickly and how Drogon was like Neo in the Matrix? Cersei could have wiped them all out right there, she didn't. I love how quickly everyone can move from location to location now. The poor fight strategy in episode 3 and their approach into King's fall was awful, even D&D said that Dany just forgot about Euron and his fleet, hence Rheagal getting killed.  The writing has been awful this season, with each episode is getting progressively worse - it's baffling.

 

I did like the Tyrion and Varys discussions, that was the best part of the episode.  I'm curious to see how this all ends up, but man they are fumbling the ball...

 

 

 

Edit: I also wonder if Drogon will get killed in short order, much like Cersei losing her 3 children, Dany loses her 3?

I thought the same thing.  But part of me thinks all of it was symbolic of everyone saying goodbye to Jon Snow as we knew him, which allows his character to fully become Aegon. 

 

Or he ends up dead, which will essentially ruin the show for me.
