I think its because we've seen them all thousands of times... the younger generation (earbud generation) probably hasn't seen 10 of them. And you're right, for the most part these are just outstanding albums. There is other good artwork out there... Jasper Wrath from 1971 for example, up close its some guys sitting a cave.
