Who is your favorite current Bill?

Recommended Posts

I'll go: Micah Hyde, dude has attitude and looks like a real leader of the secondary. I think he's had a huge influence on Tre White and Poyer. Always there to hype up the secondary when they make plays, and he was the only guy to step up to Gronk and call him out in the press conference. Huge respect for the Packers cast-off.

Shady, and it's not even close for me. I like a lot of other guys plenty too.

I was just a fan of Shady in Philly, so when he came here I was excited. And the guy's lived up to it too, he hasn't been a disappointment at all on the field.

Kyle #1, Shady #2, Hyde #3,  Tre #4,  Wood was up there and I was sad to see him retire.  It's sad when I think about it. There are not that many Bills who stand out as stars, leaders and winners.  With this said, I think I put Coach McDermott at #5. Getting to the playoffs with these rag-tags is a big accomplishment.

Love Kyle a ton.  He’s the heart and soul of the D, but Shady makes the games worth watching.  I grew up watching Thurman dominate, and Shady has been a welcome reminder of those great old days.  It’s hard to think of a team who’s had such a rich history at RB.

Rams have to be up there. Dickerson, Faulk, Jackson and now Gurley.

when is the last time we haven't had a RB capable of 1000 yards. Travis Henry ran hard, McGahee hugely underrated, Lynch didn't get the love but dangit he was good with us, even better with Seattle obviously. Spiller had his year, then Fredex took over. Then we got Shady who eclipsed all these guys. I guess I can't remember a guy between Henry and Thurman, but that was during my Moulds crush.

My favorite current Bill is also my favorite all time Bill: Kyle Williams.

A close second for me was Eric Wood. Within the span of two seasons, I may well see BOTH of my favorite Bills retire.

Who's up next? With any luck, the dude in my avatar pic will ball out and make it an easy decision. Lord knows the Bills could use the pass rush boost.

In the past my favorite player on any season's squad tended to be a backup like - for example - Roland Hooks back in the late 70s.

But now my pick as a favorite player is a bit cliche: KW.  How can you not love this guy's heart and loyalty?

And I have to give an Honorable Mention to another star player - Shady.  I thought he was an immature, self-absorbed punk when we first signed him.  But I've grown to love his team-first attitude.  He demonstrated a warped kind of genius  when he gave Sammy an envelope full of targets!

It's got to be Kyle Williams.  Guy's been giving it all and overachieving for 13 years.  Not bad for a 5th round pick.  Strong locker room guy too.

On offense, I can't believe I'm say this, but it's Shady now that Wood is gone.  I didn't like Shady when he came over here.  He seemed like an arrogant, self absorbed punk to me who was more interested in firing shots at the Eagles when he first came over than trying to acclimate himself into the Bills organization.  He's been a great leader and has rarely complained since coming here.  I was wrong.
